What a weekend! Summit 2026 wrapped up an unforgettable two days of events, including the very first Ascent Dance Competition! This marks our first-ever complete weekend experience and a true milestone for our community. Over 100 attendees took classes and we couldn’t be more grateful to every single one of you who came to connect and support 🌺 A huge thank you to our amazing choreographers for sharing their knowledge, passion, and artistry with us 💙🧡 We had the most amazing time with you all and we can’t wait to see what next year brings! 📷 Class Videos are officially up on our Linktree (in bio). The Mighty is happy to announce our ninth and final workshop of the Spring 2026 semester: The Void Workshop. Happening this Friday, April 17th from 6-9PM in O’Hill Forum! Introducing our choreographers for The Void Workshop (including some of our very own Mighty Exec!): Nha Huynh // @bbnhasty Hi, my name is Nha! I’ve been dancing for 17 years and currently dance with the Jollibees, and I’ve also been part of Elevate and Heels Incorporated. My dance idols are Marlee Hightower and Bailey Sok, and my style is flowy with a lot of bounce and musicality. I want to bring positive energy to class while making sure everyone has fun and gets support with things like memorization and performance. Fun fact: I love Bluey so much, I have so many plushies and my water bottles are covered with Bluey stickers. KENNY NGUYEN // @kennybknguyen Hey y’all! Hopefully by now you know who I am but I’m Kenny and I’ve had the honor of serving as The Mighty’s president for the past two years. Super excited to share with you all one last time before I graduate. Let’s dance!!! Fun fact: I’ve taken almost 100 classes through Mighty since my first year at UVA! ALEJANDRO RODRIGUEZ // @mr.jalerod Hi my name is Alejandro and I’m historian for the mighty 📸 !!! I am a really big freestyler, and I love whenever I can incorporate isolations or fun grooves into my dancing. Fun fact: I can do a great Kermit the frog impression 🐸 KIMMY NGUYEN // @zzzkimmy hi i’m kimmy! i’m the treasurer for the mighty 😝 and also on AKAdeMiX dance crew! i would say my dance style tends to lean more high energy/vibey/groovy. i enjoy choreos most when i can show personality while dancing! Fun fact: i tore my ACL while playing volleyball 🥲 VIVIAN JIANG // @vivianjjiang Hi guys my name is Vivian and I am a fourth year on AKAdeMiX and Mighty/Ascent PR! I’ve been dancing since I was 3 in a studio setting and open style once I entered college! My style is pretty strong/hard-hitting but trying to work on flowy textures too!
