There are many sound arguments against the doctrine of the filioque, however this is one I find the simplest, but most devastating due to its simplicity, no pun intended. Enjoy

Essence Energy Distinction is taught in the Holy fathers, it's not polytheism, it's Palamism.

Argument list
Argument 1: Canon 74 doesn’t work as the person who requested dioscorus’s presence was condemned a heretic in Ephesus 2 as the apostolic canon 75 says heretics cannot make such requests
Argument 2: The Council of Ephesus 2 deposed the patriarch of Antioch and that was binding.
Argument 3: Saint Ambrose of Milan’s quote does not prove dual natures after the union
Argument 4: Saint Ambrose uses the same term in a different book to highlight oneness of Christ.
Argument 5: Homily used during the Holy Council of Ephesus.
Argument 6: Saint Cyril praises Saint Proclus for teaching 2 natures but it is not reliable.
Argument 7: Saint Proclus quote
Argument 8: Saint Proclus quote 2
Argument 9: Saint Proclus quote 3
Argument 10: Saint Proclus quote 4
Argument 11: Saint Cyril letter 39 and 44

Historical context for those unfamiliar:
Oriental “Orthodoxy” is a small schismatic sect that larps as being Orthodox. They include the Syriac, Armenian, Ethiopian, Coptic, Eritrean, and Malankara “churches”. They were founded in 451 when the bishop of Alexandria (Dioscorus) refused to attend Chalcedon (4th Ecumenical Council) and thus was properly deposed and started his own “church”. Today, they present themselves online as being Orthodox despite their obvious schism.
The debate in question is whether Christ is 1 person in 2 natures as Chalcedon affirms, or 1 person and 1 composite nature (divine and human) as the OO’s assert. Their christology is called Monophysitism or Miaphysitism. They hold St. Cyril and Ephesus (3rd Ecumenical Council) to a very high regard, this is why these are cited in this post. It doesn’t help that the word “hypostasis” can be used to mean person or nature, depending on the context. This resulted in a lot of the confusion.
Despite my critique, I do believe their return to Orthodoxy is possible. When our Saints warn against ecumenism they don’t mention the OO’s like they do with the Latins and Protestants. Lord willing we will be one Church again!
