What is work without an audience? From Baltimore to Austin to Miami up to Montreal and across to Vancouver back down to Seattle and San Francisco. On the international stage at festivals in Paris, Rotterdam, Venice, and galleries and museums in New York City, Geneva, and Berlin. We may have started in Los Angeles but art knows no boundaries or borders — meeting, engaging and growing with audiences and patrons around the world has expanded our perception of what is possible. For that we are infinitely grateful. Thank you to everyone who gave our work a chance and took the leap into Memory. In Loving Memory Pt 3 of 3 Special shoutout to independent theaters, programmers and curators who have supported our work in the last few years : @metrograph @now_instant @roxycinemanyc @mezzaninefilm @nitehawkcinema @spectaclenyc @braindeadstudiosfairfax @newnextfilmfest @lafestivalofmovies @2220arts @mdff.ca @truefalsefilmfest @cphdox @shadowkitchen_la @rockawayfilmfest Audio excepts featured here are from interview sessions conducted Alex Lei @alexl_e_i for his piece on MEMORY in the 2024 spring edition of Documentary Magazine from @idaorg Featuring Alex Tyson @alextyson_ , Chris Osborn @chrisosborn , Noah Collier @noahsnews Office footage shot by @omgdlb Stills from our archive shot by various Score by Perfume Genius @perfumegenius from Zia Anger’s My First Film

Since we began in 2014 we have had the privilege of working with, and building a community of, like minded artists across the world. We are grateful to them for bringing us into their universes to help make them a reality. To the directors, editors, cinematographers, production and costume designers, to cast, crew and our in house staff, it has been a deep honor to have the opportunity to collaborate, learn and grow with you all over this decade plus of creation. In early 2014 we moved into our first physical office at 5109 Hollywood Blvd. We chose to make Los Angeles our home, as a deliberate contrast to the modern streaming blockbuster machine. We wanted to create a space for something outside the Hollywood system, something that took the responsibility imbued in artists head on. To make something of our time, for our time, about our time — with as few other considerations as possible. While we witness our city collectively show up for those hit hardest by one of the worst disasters in Los Angeles history we stand proud to have started this project here. Thank you for 10+ years. Proudly on Hollywood but never quite of Hollywood. HIPPO a film by Mark H. Rapaport is now available on special edition BluRay. Own what some have called : “a monochrome suburban nightmare fairytale“ Executive Produced by Rough House and Produced by Kinematics the film stars Kimball Farley, Lilla Kizlinger, Eliza Roberts + is Narrated by the one and only Eric Roberts. This special edition disc features a BTS Featurette as well as a rarely seen short film from Mark H. Rapaport. HIPPO examines the coming-of-age of two step-siblings: Hippo, a video-game addicted teenager and Buttercup, a Hungarian Catholic immigrant with a love of classical music and Jesus. Like the Ancient Greek Aphrodite, Buttercup’s love is unrequited by a brother who prefers to indulge the art of war and chaos. The result is a hormone-fueled, tragicomic waking nightmare that must be seen to be believed. David Gordon Green : “Hippo’s’ strange and dark humor is quintessential viewing and a wonderful reminder of why we all got into indie filmmaking in the first place…a brilliant feature debut.” “an unholy fusion of A Clockwork Orange and Napoleon Dynamite.” - RogerEbert.com “Hippo is America’s answer to Dogtooth, and it’s wonderful.” - ScreenAnarchy More info @hippothemovie

Theo Anthony’s celebrated documentary ALL LIGHT, EVERYWHERE is now streaming on America’s number one streaming platform TUBI. “a gripping, mind-expanding wake-up call.” - Hollywood Reporter The film world premiered at a remote Sundance in 2021 winning the jury award for non fiction experimentation. Subsequently licensed by NEON’s boutique division Super Ltd for US distribution the film was released the summer of that year in what were very recently reopened yet very restricted social distanced theaters. Admittedly a strange and wild time to release a film. The film reunited the team behind Theo’s debut feature RAT FILM consisting of Producers Riel Roch-Decter and Sebastian Pardo of MEMORY as well as composer Dan Deacon. This second feature added Jonna McKone to the producing team and cinematographer Corey Hughes as well as the good people at Sandbox Films who supported the film as Executive Producers. Theo recently completed the esteemed Radcliffe fellowship at Harvard University and is hard at work on his latest feature documentary project. About: ALL LIGHT, EVERYWHERE is an exploration of the shared histories of cameras, weapons, policing and justice. As surveillance technologies become a fixture in everyday life, the film interrogates the complexity of an objective point of view, probing the biases inherent in both human perception and the lens.
