COME TO THIS COOL EVENT! BE IN COMMUNITY!!! TALK ABOUT THE UNKNOWN! Three years ago I received a (very kind) rejection letter from Sundance. About two years later one of the programmers, Ash Cook, reached out to me and said he was working on developing an alternative distribution model to help boost visibility for films that he loved. And on Feb 5, 2026 - Video Store-Age was born! It's a really cool approach that bypasses internet platforms and distributes films via encrypted USB drives - similar to the Cuban Paquete Semanal. Filmmakers share 50/50 in sales and remain in control of their distribution rights. WOW. Radical. Video Store-Age is kicking off this exciting launch with various bi-coastal events. I hope you can attend the event for my film This Much We Know March 1st at KGB Bar in Manhattan - the ticket includes your very own USB drive with the film plus bonus materials! Kirsten Johnson (Dick Johnson is Dead / Cameraperson) will guide a loose and intriguing conversation between a filmmaker (myself), an anthropologist (Scott Shwartz), and a psychic medium (Per Erik Borja - featured in Lana Wilson's A24 film Look Into My Eyes) about our various approaches to the unknown - which, in my opinion, ideally involves a combo of scientific analysis, data processing, creative interpretation and spiritual messaging. It's going to be a great and chewy conversation. This event is presented in partnership with my distributor Oscilloscope Laboratories (because they're cool like that). Bless. Hope to see you there! * DM me if you want to get in for free.

Now open to the public Digital Twinz: Hip-Hop, Archives, and Algorhythms at @nyugallatingalleries - 1 Washington Pl. off Broadway near Washington Sq. Park. ✨✨✨ The exhibition is up until *February 25, so please come by and tell others. The gallery is open Monday to Friday 10-6 and Saturdays, 10-4. ✨✨✨ On display I have works based in the @b_boyabstracts series and #graffitisculpture series. From the year 2000 I have the #princekenswift sculpture inspired by dancer/choreographer @realkenswift - as a response to Italian Futurist- Umberto Boccioni who made Unique Forms of Continuity in Space in 1913. The Funk Drummer sheet music break notation is an homage to James Brown and @clydestubblefield and the Breakers. The icons represent various moves in a sequence and rhythm 🥁 patterns from the classic recording. The spinning @dozegreen HeadSpinna was inspired by a photo @marthacoopergram took of him floor rocking, it was reoriented to a HeadSpinna. On video display various clips of #breakingalgorhythms based on digitizing dance @ynotism and collaborating with @tobiasgremmler on animation #breakingabstracrion As well my favorite drawing from 2005 Shoulder Freeze a charcoal on newsprint. This was early on before I landed on it’s current form. Exhibit curated by @iammarthadiaz and @meithkiller 🙏🏽 @hiphopeducationcenter

This summer we shot a movie! **This Is My Hero Arc**!! Starring Lucas and Iris! Written and Directed by me. SYNOPSIS: A pair of fourteen year old best friends embark on an impossible trek to seek out justice against an environmental criminal through an act of eco-sabotage. The film is an exploration of the inner lives of early teens in our turbulent time and an act of faith in the potential of the next generation to transform their future for the better. —— We shot from July 5 to August 4. Our stars were my godson Lucas and his best friend Iris, two of the most charming, smart, funny, cool 14 year olds you could find. Both little miracles of memes, insights, and jokes. The crew were a joy to work with, super fun, and amazingly talented. We started shooting in Nashville, TN and went from there to Lafayette, TN and the Free Garden (an intentional community/commune), to Louisville, KY to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and then to Harrisburg, PA, Brooklyn and Phoenixville, PA. —— PProducer - Joyce Mishaan Producer - Matt Grady @factory25matt Co-Producer - Ruben Zaccaroni Production Coordinator - Frances Bromley @Oh_you_francey Directors Of Photography - Helen Cassell @Helencassell & April Goldberg @aprilzgoldberg Assistant Director - Ruben Zaccaroni  Assistant Camera 1 - Mada Malone @madamalone Assistant Camera 2 - Omar Garc @wet_change G&E Swing - Caiya Sanchez-Strauss @instacaiya Gaffer - Cameron Steinfeld  Key Grip - Rachel Parrella @rparrella_ Sound Mixer - Greg Mailloux @cinco.de.mailloux Boom Operator - Austen Jacobsen @Austenjacobsen & Maxwell Dipaolo @m4xw311 Dit - Ryan Carl @Ryancarl Assistant Editor - Zev Rand zev_rand Key Pa  - Cesar Monroy @Czarproductions1 Production Assistants - Tate Bailey @tateofthewrld - Savannah Rogers @imagelayne - Julian Grady @julian__grady - Kiernan Francis Wardrobe - Elena Lark  @Elenalark & Joana Chaves Hair & Makeup - Ryin Overton @ryinbeauty & Marissa Haley @ris_haley Production Designer - Grace Sloan @Gracesssloan Art Assistant - Tommy Mitchell @tcmitchell__ Casting Director - Beth Schiff @Castingqueenny / Talent Manager - Naomy Grand'pierre @Naomyhgp Talent Assistant - Maya Kava With  Zaq Latino @zaqlatino

Modernist Barcelona: #Gaudi, Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, Parc del Laberint d'Horta. #LaSagrada Familia looks like there have been design committees that didn’t agree with Gaudí’s vision, or didn’t get it. But it is still awe inspiring. I can hardly imagine what it will look like when the central tower, which is meant to be twice as tall as the current ones, is complete.
