TAYV PART 2: FORESTS following our wonderful collaborative gig with @cooriedoonparty , us lichens and a bunch of pals went to join local Tayvallich legend Mark to learn about his work to restore native woodland around the village.In Argyll, as with much of the UK, native forests have glowing potential for healthy, biodiverse ecosystems but are strangled by invasive rhododendron plants which crowd out native trees and other plants. We helped shift a load of cut rhododendron into a great big rhodo-bonfire, giving space for the oak, birch, hazel, rowan & other lovely trees (and LICHENS) to thrive. Then ate an astronomical quantity of pizza (thanku dough chefs!)There are so many beautiful and incredibly valuable restoration projects like this blossoming across Scotland, from rainforests to seagrass meadows to oyster beds we loved supporting this project and hope you will support rewilding efforts in your area!Lovely film snaps by the lovely @rowan_aitchison

TAYV PART 1: What a glowing, perfect weekend we had in Argyll with our pals @cooriedoonparty ! Tayvallich Village Hall got all dressed up for a first ever collab: mossy Megalichen tunes followed by a musical journey of pure joy and dancing, guided by coorie DJs Cam & Finlay Thank you to all the pals who cooked, drove, decorated, sea-dipped and danced with us and to our wonderful Tayvallich friends for being such generous hosts We are so keen to return to play in rural venues across Scotland, so do send us any ideas + recs for where we could visit next…

Aloooo rockhoppers! We’ve been shuffling & huffling through winter playing some lovely gigs - here’s some snaps of our wonderful musical foray over to Fife’s @forgan_arts_centre where we scampered in the trees, learned about lichens, invented a game called fallingover, shared sweet meals and discovered just how out of tune a clarinet can sound in the cold This weekend we’re VERY excited to head north to play a very special show in Tayvallich Village Hall along with our pals @cooriedoonparty online tix sold out but will be some on the door!Thankyou @m.wasylko @kevin_linnett @thewaywardgem for the lovely photos
