Being the Swiss army vagabond VJ of the fest running sets on both Lightning and Thunder stage challenged me in ways I never could’ve imagined, and also allowed me to work closely with everyone else involved whether I was delivering mango smoothies or hdmi cables 😂
Feeling so lucky to have been a part of this team and weekend. Thank you 🌱💗✨

Howdy! I wanted to share a project with y’all that’s always brought a smile to my face. I’ve held off from posting this because in all honesty, I did not succeed well in documenting it, and in my perfectionist mindset I was hard on myself, worrying it would fall flat. But I’ve been doing a lot of self work the past few months, and want to be more gentle with myself, my art, and my “online presence” whatever that means
SO without further ado, I present to you my lightly documented, mildly to wildly auditorily annoying interactive audio-midi table! I made this for one of my performance art classes at CU as a piece that anyone could walk up to and explore. I crafted everything myself, from the wooden table/stand and spandex triangles, to the touch designer program that runs the Kinect interactions, to the sound design (also in touch).
This is a project I think back to often, because it was a joy to fabricate something that was so intimately interactive and then be able to see the laughter and joy people got from it while figuring it out. Making peace with the fact that art can be SILLY and messy and that’s a good thing :) thanks for lookin!🌱✨
