Happy Indigenous Peoples Day to Us and Us only. Indigenous and Native New Yorkers faces from our casting for @primerrebeldedeamerica I’m not going to waste words acknowledging this “administration” and its blatant attack on the Indigenous community. However I will acknowledge the current community that despite all odds, rises to the occasion everyday. Each of these faces represent the ACTUAL American Dream, it shows how diverse yet connected our future can be if we all had rights to maintain our heritage and land. From Native New Yorkers whose families put blood of and tears into this city, and to our native siblings that still provide medicine and wealth to our planet, I personally say thank you for being you. Your truth, your individuality, your story matters today more than ever so live loud and true. The Fashion Villain is here to stay 🚬😈 @cultured_mag So honored to be apart of Cultured Magazines Young Photographers list, amongst a group of other innovators that I’ve looked up to for years. I was asked to submit a self portrait and I wanted to do something true to all my Vice-isms. It had to be queer, chic, and dirty. I photographed myself in @calvinklein & @willychavarrianewyork for these portraits, and shot them In front of local NYC clubs like @market.hotel & @bossanovacivicclub Thank you @maraveitch for telling my story so beautifully, and to @cultured_mag for featuring me!

I used to walk down Myrtle avenue everyday with ballroom beats playing in my heads phones and would pretend the streets was my runway. Seeing myself dance in these spaces that used to be so aggressive to the queer, young city kid felt healing. Thanks again to the crew who captured my story so beautiful, and to all of the New Yorkers who cheered me on as I dipped in the streets! This trip to Teotihuacan was so spiritually gratifying go me, even in the moments where I found myself crying it was because I felt my ancestors energy. I love film because I believe sometimes it captures my angels, and in some of these I felt them next to me, so to see how saturated in color and life these feel just affirms that spirituality. This trip was a blessing, I got to take it with my favorite people in the world, but more importantly I got to get closer to myself. It’s important to go back to where you come from, you know?
