Cartagena, Colombia đ¨đ´
1. We stayed in the old city of Cartagena for three days. It is an old Spanish fort full of colourful houses with climbing flowering plants protecting the streets from the sun during the hot days.
Our shelter was a beautiful old merchantâs house. We walked around and ate Arepas and Pan de Bono all day. Highly recommend them they are a 10/10.
2. Cartagena is HOT, but the fort is very close to the beach, we probably went to the local spot as there were just local families playing with their kids, older couples laying in the water to keep cool. Just the perfect place to catch up rest after our 18hr commute here.
3. Our goal this trip if to learn how to cook something local in each country we travel too. In Colombia, we chose to learn how to cook Arepa, a delicious pancake made of corn, which you can find everywhere in the streets filled with all different types of things, cheese being our favourite of course!
As for the class: We made cocktails, met amazing people, got some tips for Guatemala and El Salvador, enjoyed the sunset while cooking and then ate all together.
Rating: 7.5/10, we didnât get to cook every step, the coconut rice was already made when we arrived. We will do more research next time to make sure it is a full on cooking class and less of a âsocialâ class. Still amazing though.
4. Plaza Ed Aduana. One of the many parks in the city of Cartagena. It was beautiful, full of life and music. We were greeted by the cityâs famous fruit ladies in which we got an enormous fruit bowl for $3.
As we sat down on a bench to eat our bowl, the man in front said âI know you guysâ, we skimmed our eyes to find it was the man we sat next to on the plane there! We then spent the next hour or two chatting about life, where he came from and the wedding he was here for.
Overall 8/10, would highly recommend!
@tasmania road trip, shot on iPhone.
Here are some postcards, not in chronological order.
1. We arrived in Tasmania to sunshine and friends, which quickly turned into wild winds and laughter.
2. Meeting point before the ferry to Tasmania. Bago State Forest, NSW: music, emus, art, and trees.
3. What might just be my favourite spot on Earth right now, coastlines, waves, seals, and a whole lot of vibes.
4. A moment of serenity after the craziest dirt roads for three hours straight.
5. We finally reached the forests. We stopped driving and started taking it all in. We spent New Yearâs there, and I can confidently say this is the best way to start the year.
6. We drove through mountains and slowly found our way to the most beautiful moon, camping next to a lake.
7. Art performance by @alannaroybentley , @charlotte.lbrn , and @sharleen_w at MONA.
8. Riptide by Vance Joy, performed by the Alanna Banana Orchestra đś

Big announcement dropping Monday đŁ
YouTube is back.
I promised myself at the start of the year to begin my YouTube journey.
Here we are, my first video is live, just 8 months behind schedule.
I got to thank @samadhinirmanee for pushing me to do it.
Filming myself feels super awkward.
But, strangely enough,
This is incredibly rewarding đť
