Bradley Taylor is an award-winning poet born and based in Birmingham. Described by Craig Charles as ‘a brand new voice and a fresh perspective on the art of poetry & performance’, Bradley has performed at the Hay Festival, Cheltenham Literature Festival, Latitude Festival, on boats & in train stations. In 2024 he released his debut collection You Missed The Best Part and in 2025 his performance was nominated for the Sky Arts Award for poetry. In 2026 he opened for band Big Special on their UK & IE tour and was also commissioned to write a poem for Steven Knight, creator of the Peaky Blinders.
Aliyah Begum is a poet and writer from Birmingham who has appeared at COP26, Verve Poetry Festival, and on BBC Bitesize. In 2022, she was a Young Critic for the T.S. Eliot Prize in partnership with the Poetry Society, and her writing has appeared in publications such as ‘And Other Poems’ and ‘Poetry London’. She recently took part in BBC Write Across, a development scheme for emerging screenwriters. From 2018-2020, she was Birmingham’s Young Poet Laureate.
Maxine Meixner is a spoken word poet and writer based in London. Her poetry taps into the vulnerability, beauty and truth of the human experience. She has appeared at spit nights, Poet’s Palace, Storytime, Piece of Work, Lost Village Festival and was the winner of One Night Slam in November 2025. Her viral poem “I Hope You Make It” has more than 15 million views collectively and has been shared by the likes of actor Patsy Palmer, drag icon Brooklyn Heights, and the legendary Viola Davis.
