They say NYC is all about the hustle. For me, hustle is about creating community and friendships.
I’d been wanting to mess around with CGI for a while — and when the
@musicbed spec comp popped up, it was the perfect chance to show what we can do as creatives and filmmakers.
But why stop at a spec ad, when one of my great mates
@declanbasile runs the best sock company in the game —
@sweetfeet.nyc
Me,
@emmakasarsky , and
@mattyower decided to shoot two ads:
• One for the comp (had to be a fake brand: Sprint Union),
• And one for Sweetfeet.
We created a similar logo to Sweetfeet, shot two takes with our sock props, and swapped the sock logos in post with CGI, and I reckon we pulled it off! We landed a top 5 finalist spot in the comp and now get to drop this banger ad for Sweetfeet.
At the end of the day, it’s been a rollercoaster ride since moving to NYC, so it’s exciting to share something that has everything I love about it - amazing community and friendships. Proud of what we made and who we made it with.
