I just realized I have yet to post some stills of my lil' #boxofscraps Iron Man. Remember when Instagram was a photo-sharing site? Good times. I still need to make a few adjustments, but you'll see him again very soon. This armor was from 1997, the Model 16 Renaissance Armor from "Heroes Return" after the whole "Heroes Reborn" debacle (which I think laid the groundwork for the Ultimate Universe, as that seemed to be what everyone actually wanted to do, heroes updated for modern times without any pesky ties to the regular Marvel Universe). Based off a concept design by @alexrossart and then fine-tuned by Kurt Busiek and artists @seanchenart and the Legendary George Perez, I really loved this armor, a fusion of modernity, 90's excess, and the classic Model II faceplate with a little medieval flair thrown in amongst the classic fundamentals, it was a fun build. Did anyone read this far? The safe word is "unibeam". Most of the armor is indeed scrap, but fine-tuned with @maskeddadworkshop foam and foam clay (even their *scraps* are awesome! 🤣). And of course all hand-made by yours truly. #iamironman
