NANDI AND THE CASTLE IN THE SEA

A land of Dragons, Mushroom Wizards, and Steam-Powered Airships.
A magical island with two native peoples in a struggle for harmony.
A world of whimsical creatures and vivid colors.
A tale of betrayal, balance, and natureās inevitability.
A boy caught in the middle of it all.
And a Castle in the Sea that wonāt stop calling his name.

Mentorship wasnāt an intentional theme when I wrote this, but it slipped its way into so many different relationships in my story.
Not a coincidence; Iāve had amazing mentors.
My book is called Nandi and the Castle in the Sea š
It is 368 pages long, and you get a beginning, middle, and end, all in one book (no cliffhangers!)
Dragons and Airships.
Mushroom Wizards and Steam-Powered Jetskis.
Tarantino-esque Chaos and Ghibli-esque Whimsy.
Coming of age.
Found family.
Action, heart, humor, and philosophy.
All blended into a beautifully illustrated tale about a 30 year old betrayal, and one boyās effort to balance the scales.
You can find it in my bio š¢š¦„š
š The Baristaās Touch in Hillsdale, NJ is my cafe of choice.
Amazing staff, immaculate vibes, and absolute banger coffee (seriously, it just tastes better).
This has clearly become a neighborhood staple in the 3 years theyāve been around. Itās got this atmosphere that just makes you want to come back, and most people do.
They know every repeat guest by name, and new folks are always instantly commenting on how dope it is.
When I asked Anthony about his choice in decor and the objects he places throughout the shop, he said āI just really love old things.ā
The entire staff are also anime fans which is how we clicked so well from the jump, and what made me want to place my book on their shelves despite them not usually stocking comics.
I had a strong feeling they would be down for it, because they are all about supporting the community (he is literally wearing a sweater from the pizza shop a couple blocks down in this video, and theyāre always displaying local goods).
I didnāt get to post our full convo in the 3 minute limit, but the essence of the conversation was pretty much ādude, what took you so long to ask?ā lol
Iām super hype to have Nandi in my local coffee shop and am grateful for the opportunity for fellow locals to discover my work.
Eve if youāre not local though, Baristaās is worth a trip!
I wouldāve liked to include the dropkick here but itās a 2-page spread of epic proportions that I couldnāt possibly do justice to in this edit š„
