Many happy returns on your 100th birthday - here’s to our national treasure. Cheers! This portrait was taken a decade ago and it will be always be the most memorable shoot I have done to date in my career. @davidattenborough @amagasinet #davidattenborough #portrait

On site - FENIX, stripped back to its bare bones. One of the most fascinating stages of any project is uncovering the layers of history beneath the surface. This site has lived many lives: a beloved London pub, a Turkish restaurant, and during WWII, a hospital for wounded soldiers. Now, we step into its next chapter - adding a new layer to its rich, unfolding story. Photography: @markcocksedge #interiordesign #constructionsite #restaurantdesign #newbeginnings #photoshoot

Starting the year with a real sense of gratitude. Very happy to share that my portrait of @gilesduley has been selected as a winner for Portrait of Britain by @bjp1854 . The image was shortlisted and has now gone on to be included among this year’s finalists - a real honour to sit among such strong work. The winning photographs will be shown across the UK via @jcdecaux_uk appearing across streets, stations and public spaces. Huge thanks to the team at BJP, and to everyone involved in making the image possible. Congratulations to all those selected. // Introducing my image: ‘No More War.’ Portrait of Giles Duley, photographer, writer, chef, presenter and CEO: “Photography is relatively simple. You point a camera in the right direction and press a button. But it has taken me 40 years to determine which direction to point the camera. I realised then with photography, I was not going to be noticed because I wasn’t the best photographer. I was doing nothing particularly unique, and I would have to find a way to ensure my work was seen.” // @one_armed_chef @legacyofwarfoundation @ryezine_magazine @bluecoatpress #PortraitOfBritain #portrait #editorial #humanity #stories

I’m so excited to welcome @mandkhaiofficial for our last @tankmagazine pop-up of the year. Mandkhai’s cashmere comes from her family-run, vertically integrated factory in Mongolia with full traceability from free-roaming goats to finished (gorgeous and soft) garment, where the women who create the collections are all deeply committed to ethical, low-impact production. ‘Rhythm of Autumn’ is a photographic exhibition exhibiting images shot in Mongolia by @markcocksedge with no staging, just horizon, texture and light. Visit 10am–6pm today until December 12th 6pm

‘Rhythm of Autumn’ This collaborative show between Cashmere designer Mandkhai and Photographer Mark Cocksedge is a photo journey through the Mongolian Steppe. // Address: Tank, 91-93 Great Portland Street, London, WIW 7NX. 10th > 12th December 2025. // Our photo journey, Rhythm of Autumn, expresses the seasonal flow of nomadic life and the strength of freedom. It explores how the essence of a place can be caught in motion, woven into cashmere garments that echo the land and honour the artistry it offers. At its heart is Mongolian cashmere - a fibre deeply entwined with the country’s identity and livelihood. For centuries, it has been gathered from free-roaming goats and transformed by skilled hands into garments of assured luxury. These production techniques, passed down through generations, form the foundation of Mongolia’s globally respected cashmere industry. With no intervention - no deliberate styling, no artificial staging - these images of Mandkhai’s cashmere designs unfold organically, set against an infinite horizon and embodying the core of our vision. They depict the effortless harmony of luxury cashmere worn in its purest form, with the array of tones reflecting those of the season. This land, its people, and the fibres merge into something timeless, something real. We invite visitors to step into the vast stillness of the Mongolian steppe - a place where the power of nature shapes the rhythms of life. These images offer more than a portrait of landscape; they reveal how the climate, the elements and the natural landscape inform the culture and creative spirit of its people. Rhythm of Autumn is a reminder of the enduring beauty of craftsmanship shaped by land, by lineage, and by time itself. // @mandkhaiofficial @markcocksedge @tankmagazine // #mongolia #cashmere #fashion #design #art #photography //

The ‘Critical Mass Sofa’ revisits the origins of compressed soft forms, this time exchanging quarried marble for hand-carved foam.

‘WHAT NELSON SEES’ 🔭
by PAUL COCKSEDGE

Reflecting on ‘What Nelson Sees’, in collaboration with @googleartsculture , based in Trafalgar Square for London Design Festival 2025. Pictured above, Paul Cocksedge meets London’s Deputy Mayor for Culture & the Creative Industries, @justinesimons , to celebrate the opening of ‘What Nelson Sees’. Brought to life with Flow, @Google ’s AI filmmaking tool powered by Veo, viewers are invited to peer through portals to see vignettes of London’s evolution across a century. London has always been a melting pot, a city of energy, creativity, and reinvention. This visual journey will capture that restless spirit.

Balancing every detail - from complex fabrication and seamless media integration through to the refined finish; @steelandform brought this concept to life. NELSON’S COLUMN
