Thrilled to share some big news from Grammy weekend as announced by
@hollywoodreporter .
Today at the
@universalmusicgroup Artist Showcase, we unveiled a first look at our upcoming
@cnn series - a project that Known Originals is proud to produce alongside
@polygramentertainment and TimeStudios.
Hosted by comedian, musician, and all-around multihyphenate Fred Armisen, the series takes viewers deep inside the Iron Mountain vaults that safeguard the Universal Music Group archives. What lives in those chambers is nothing short of mind-blowing. This groundbreaking series will “unearth priceless artifacts, encompassing original recordings, master tapes, rare photos and performances, alternative album art and music videos, many of which have not been seen or heard publicly before.”
Fred joined us to introduce our series trailer at the showcase, giving the room a glimpse into a universe of hidden recordings and never-before-heard chapters of the artists who shaped generations.
For us at
@known.is , this series represents the next chapter in a 15-year partnership with UMG built on trust, creativity, and the belief that art + science can illuminate stories the world hasn’t yet heard.
Grateful to our longtime partners at CNN and UMG with a special thank you to Will Tanous. And excited for everyone to experience what’s been waiting in the vaults.
More to come.
