Latest work for @volkswagen (commercial vehicles) - „ID.Buzz Cargo - Ewan McGregor Homestory" With all that StarWarsDisneyHollywood Buzz around (no pun intended), this project could’ve been a hell of a ride. But creating something with friends in Berlin while being joined by a more than humble, authentic, of course professional and really funny actor/human being like Ewan McGregor made it go by way too fast. It “only” took 30 years from playing Resident Evil 1 on our PlayStation to casting the infected for a commercial. When the call came to shoot this project for Capcom, bringing together Resident Evil and Porsche, I called it a unicorn. And I meant it. Two legacy brands. Two completely different worlds. Projects like this don’t come around often. Thanks to Nomadic Agency and all the lovely people we’ve met along the way for this opportunity and thx to Akkurat Studios Berlin and Awaken Productions for always going the extra Miles (With a „s“ at the end because this was surely a stretch). What moves Maren? People. And she moves for them every single day. Running a mobile care service in rural Templin, she drives from door to door with a full heart and a full schedule. We spent two days with her and her family, filming with a minimal crew and a lot of trust. No actors, no big setups. Just real people who welcomed us with open arms and let us be part of their world for a little while. A quiet little film about true connection, made for ARAL together with Ogilvy and Markenfilm Crossing. Big thanks to everyone in Templin who made this shoot feel like a visit, not a production. Time isn’t something to fight against.
It’s something to listen to. Spending time at JUNE reminded me why I started making films in the first place. Not for speed. Not just for perfection. But for the process, a lot of patience and: presence. Like, really digging in and being there. Making this film meant slowing my own rhythm.
Staying longer.
 Watching closer.
Letting moments unfold instead of forcing them.
 And learning along the way. Watching food being grown, fermented, stored and remembered changed the way I want to approach my own work for sure.
Some things want to be rushed.
 Others simply refuse to be rushed. This film came together the same way their food does.
