At the Telekom Forum in Bonn, Blackout powered the lighting for “A Song For You”, a concert by the Berliner Ensemble with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. This live show featured around 120 installed fixtures, all controlled from a single iPad by lighting designer and Blackout user, Peter Assmann.
From cue stacks and FX to real-time tweaks, Blackout delivers full-scale production control straight from a tablet. Whether you’re lighting concerts, theater shows, or events, this is the future of DMX control.
This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what portable lighting control can do.

So I got the cerise one transmitter for testing and all I have to say is: wow.
But first things first. Without Batterie, without wifi. I was really interested in having this tx on set for a rock n roll test.
A month later I did got mail and here it was. The first literarily plug and play solution for on Set transmitting CRMX. I testet it now for six weeks. Have done a TV show and some commercials.
During a 11h Shooting day the tx needed 77% of the iPad Battery but the solution is a simple adapter that makes it possible to charge the iPad while using the Cerise.
In the end I just taped it on the backside of my iPad. It’s a really light transmitter and I’m sure with some time there will be a cool cage for iPad and the Cerise.
I’m not missing the Battery at all and also the not existing wifi. In the end that is what could bring you in trouble with other devices on set like video transmitting or a wcu.
It’s definitely one of my new favourite Transmitter on the market. Also having a possibility transmitting up to 4 universes that easy is game changing.
