#Cinematographer Daniel Morgan (@danielrm_dop ) integrated Rosco #DMGDASH fixtures into his Dragonframe stop-motion setup for #TheDyingWorld – a short film directed by Lauren Tsai (@laurentsai ).
He noted that these compact lights have become his go-to choice for stop-motion cinematography because they deliver exceptional colour output in a size ideal for intricate lighting setups. As he explained:
“Scale is a big factor, and with smaller scales comes more attention to detail. We’re lighting faces that are often two inches in size, and so we’re making minute adjustments to not only the shape of the light, but also the softness and colour. Getting a lamp of that size, that also holds its colours as well as the DASH does, is quite unusual.”
