🔑 The Golden Key opens tomorrow in Milan at the MEET Digital Culture Center! Created by Onassis ONX member Marc Da Costa and Onassis ONX Technical Director Matthew Niederhauser, the work brings audiences into contact with the mythological dreams of an AI as it writes and visualizes a never-ending story. 🌊 The installation imagines a future world that has suffered the worst ravages of climate change, while also inviting audiences to try to reconstruct a lost mythic past by responding to prompts at computer terminals on the exhibition floor. By sharing your memories and visions of the future, you become the architect of an intimate and fascinating encounter with your tulpa, an AI that explores and reflects upon your personal stories. This weekend only! Experience Parallels: An AI Installation on display at Josie Robertson Plaza. This large LED wall becomes a portal for visitors to be transported to another world. A video camera mounted behind the LED wall captures its subjects and surrounding environment before reimagining a new visual world through the use of generative AI. Excited to announce that “Parallels” won the @lumen_prize for Interactive Immersive works last week! “Parallels” 📲📽️ is an exploration of how new forms of AI vision are coming to mediate our relationship to the world around us. The piece creates a framed cut-out of a landscape and allows audiences to observe and interact with layers of site-specific reinterpretations of the ambient environment. It was an experiment in what it meant to bring emerging forms of computer vision out of the laboratory or the surveillance camera and to embed them in the world at large.
