This residency explores the theme “Hide.” OVERLAP is a Slow Fashion Station in Enschede, focusing on sustainability, craft, (textile) art, circularity, and experimentation. The organization explores the boundaries between different disciplines: art and fashion versus wearable art and craftivism. We invite international visual artists from Creative Europe countries to respond to the theme “Hide.” We are particularly interested in how your work could engage with the question whether we can incorporate hidden information into our expression, into the way we dress, as a hidden means of communication. How it can function as protection or second skin. We invite the artist to interpret this question and the meaning of ‘Hide’ broadly and critically within their own practice. Today, beautiful clouds ☁️ in the sky. I am becoming increasingly fascinated by clouds. This is due to the creative process of making the new ECOPOLITAN no7 magazine. The inspiration is the Cloud Dancer, the PANTONE color of 2026. Clouds that are constantly changing, slow and fast clouds, in multiple layers ☁️ Clouds with ever-changing shapes, a diversity of sheep, stacks, rainbows 🌈 feathers, cauliflower, or a landscape of cloud streets. Clouds drift across the world, come down as rain, end up in the sea, where they evaporate and rise again to become clouds. A beautiful natural cycle. Comparable to the creative game involved in designing ECOPOLITAN slow fashion magazine. Where clouds & fashion drift across the world together. Zes jonge Belgische modeontwerpers die in de jaren ‘80 ineens wereldwijd superpopulair waren en direct België als modeland op de kaart zette. Vanaf vandaag is er een ongelooflijk mooie expositie in het @momuantwerp over deze 6 ontwerpers die na The Antwerp Six (wat maar 3 jaar duurde) allemaal op hun eigen manier zeer succesvol werden. De tentoonstelling geeft ruimte aan alle zes de ontwerpers maar het geeft ook een prachtig inkijkje over hoe mode de afgelopen 40 jaar veranderd is.
