Pizzzaaa! This one is Speck - a kind of Italian ham cured and smoked with juniper. It was bellissima. There was a long line of Italians waiting to eat at this place so we know it's good
Very very far away from this place but this has to go on this account. Misal Pav from Sudarshan, Makhmalabad, Nashik. Watery nose spicy, a wild textural ride, the pav dipped in the curry is where I would settle down eventually in life.
You know I used to be a food writer a long time ago?
Ok. So this is the moment when I was like okay so have to take a picture. This used to be Peking Duck from a restaurant called Ming Dynasty in Berlin.
Procedure - take a thin rice crepe, add some roasted duck dunked in hoisin sauce, then some crispy duck skin, the some chives and some thinly sliced cucumber, roll it up and eat. Bellissima
Separate mention of hoisin sauce. Thicky, gooey, soy saucy, sweet, fennely. New favourite
Hey surbhi, rish, kaushal, did you guys know that barista is still a thing in Delhi?? I had this cheese chicken mushroom toastie there today, and it was so good that I ended up having two. Barista food still slaps one has to admit.
I think we went from local cafe chains era to mnc cafe chains era and now we're in the indie cafe era and I'm so happy about that.
Evening surbhi, rish, kaushal. This is one of the best cheesecakes you can have in ncr. You get this at this place called sibang bakery in ggn. Ive never tried to make a cheesecake but if I were to this would be the goal. One of the most satisfying desserts I've had.
Good night! (Good morning if you're rish)
Gm Pranav, Kaushal and rish! I spent the last 3 days in rish’s city, eating an obscene amount of food. I ate this delicious Dal Kachori at the Laxmi Namkeen Bhandar on the Hawa Mahal road near Govind Dev mandir as I was walking in the old city one morning, making photographs.
The filling was so good - a mouthful without falling out. And he gave it with this chutney which was sweetish but not oppressively so like those we get in Delhi.
I also had a Pyaaz ki kachori which was great but I’m a dal kachori person.
