CRAZY MEGA JAM: Release + Concert
Well - it finally happened. Crazy Mega Jam has released its very first “album” today. ACT1 has opened the gates wide, offering a lasting glimpse into its sonic universe. Feel free to explore it here: /album/act1
And yes - this Thursday marks the release concert, which will likely be recorded at the same time and may become the next release.
It promises to be a truly exciting evening: The Royal Choir - featuring Letizia Trussi, Hania Luthufi, XrysafeniaX Dadanæ, Malte Bogner, and Till Künkler - will be conducted by Andreas Völk and sonically shaped by the legendary AUDIOS.
Alongside them, a cosmic trio with Stephane Lefrancois (modular synths), Kenn Hartwig (bass & Game Boys), and Johannes Klingebiel (drums) will take the stage. As if that weren’t enough, Rocket Raul will complete the experience with powerful live visuals.

The Crazy Mega Jam is back – an electrifying evening full of music, visuals, and performance art in the unique setting and spirit of the Gaswerksiedlung Berlin. Artists from the local Gaswerksiedlung community take the stage at BLOCK1 to present a night of spontaneous collaboration across genres and disciplines.

Recording on tape yesterday was a dream!! Introduced at Abbey Road in 1986, the Studer A820 24-track tape machine is one of the last generations of analogue multitrack recorders ✨📻
First, the incredible audio quality, but also and foremost, the process as musician and sound engineer we found much more interesting and productive... Decisions must be taken now and you don't end up with a pile of takes to go through. It is raw and pure moment. You hear the technician looking for the right moment to punch you back in, and you focus more on your performance.
Song is called "Odjos Pretos" (traditional) and was recorded by the Conjunto Noitinha in 1966 on the record label Rapsodia 🇨🇻. That is so far the only existing recording of this song that we know of, full of longing and emotion. A splendid melody too rarely played that we decided to bring back to the surface ♥️
