Had a great time doing some solo sets supporting the legendary dEUS. Nice to see that playing solo works very well and feels pretty good, also it's quite fun to play those bigger venues haha. So yeah, I'm there for all of it!

Die Musik von Dave Berlin passiert – ob wir wollen oder nicht. Am Ende sitzen wir doch wieder da, feilen an jedem Detail und merken, wie sehr wir es lieben.
Arbeit und Struktur – dieses Prinzip beschwor schon Wolfgang Herrndorf. In dessen ehemaliger Stammkneipe Deichgraf verirrte sich David letztes Jahr endlich selbst. Arbeit und Struktur: das Wissen darum, dass wir es schaffen können und dass darin eine vielfältige Schönheit wächst. Dieses Wissen bringt uns immer wieder dazu, weiterzumachen. Egal, was wir tun.
So auch bei CODE*. Das achte Album von Dave Berlin strotzt vor Liebe zur Intuition, zum einzigartigen Flow und zur eigenen Sprache des Duos, die sich über die Jahre entwickelt hat. Die meisten Songs sind aus gemeinsamen Improvisationen entstanden und zeugen davon, dass selbst in der letzten Ecke noch ein Funken Hoffnung zu finden ist.

Since 2013, the jazz trio 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧-saxophone/clarinet, double bass, and drums-has been exploring the intersections of improvisation and composition. In its expanded form, 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, the ensemble includes violin, viola, and cello, merging two distinct sound worlds.
Led by composer 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩, the project moves between jazz, new music, and Eastern Orthodox liturgical traditions. Beyond conventional notation, the work thrives on the friction between structure and freedom, as musicians experiment and reshape written material in real time. The result is a sonic universe that feels both grounded and unbounded-“a feeling of being at home in ambiguity.”
