This was a really cool and unexpected surprise to see my name in Rod Serling’s Night Gallery The Art of Darkness. It is such a neat book to look through too. I’m in disbelief still. Look ma, I’m in my first book! Thank you to Kevin Haney for including me in this project of making a life size Rod for the Gallery, and letting me be your lab tech. It was great working with you and Casey Wong. It was a photo finish, but we made it! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it to the event itself with Kevin and Casey, so I included a photo of me doing my best Rod Serling impression. If there is one thing I am, it’s professional!

💡a group of artists hand painted weathered and rusted lanterns using spray paints and alcohol paints. These were a couple of the ones I painted.
🎃 “funkins” painted as realistic pumpkins with acrylic paints and sealed with deft.
Light up harp that was 3D printed and elements of it were dropped one hundred times. I glued it back together each time and painted it gold.
The electrical was done by Marcus LaMontagne, Brad Someguy, and Lee Trujillo
🧙 Interactive Crest was printed in house by Marcus LaMontagne and Lee Trujillo. I body shopped, assembled, painted, and UV coated the crest. Mech was done by Lee Trujillo.
🦉Last, the owl was sculpted by Adam Beane, printed in House by Cryptic Industries, body shop and finishing by me, painting by Chris Dooly and Keiko Moreno. Later sealed/clear coated by me.

Everything of seated Kordax was 3D printed! @justinmichaelpatterson and I bodyshopped, assembled, primed, and clear-coated seated Kordax under the supervision of Bernie Eichholz before passing him off to the paint department.

Aquaman 2!
I still haven’t watched it, but it’s insane how much work went into Aquaman2. On this project I was fortunate to lend a hand in almost every department at @fracturedfxinc . My favorite and most rewarding department is always in paint—painting the Undead Necrus suits. That was my first time working with the paint department at Fractured, and it was absolutely my favorite. Thank you @hoipolloi for taking a chance on me, and letting me paint in your department with powerhouses like you, @amberguesaaaa , @emily.dorosky , @martinipesto , and @carleydoesmakeup who killed it on the Undead Necrus Faces.
Even though I haven’t watched the movie yet, I get so excited seeing things come to life on screen that my coworkers and I have worked on. I geek out every time, and it’s such a special and rewarding feeling. I can’t put it into words, but it’s part of the reason I stay in this crazy industry.
This project gave me more than I can truly say. 2021 was one of the most devastating years for me piggybacking off of 2020 (which collectively was a trauma for the world). Grief had ravaged my life, and one of the things that kept me distracted and brought me joy, was making and creating—knowing I had a project that would come to life after grappling with death and loss, eased the pain and helped me navigate grieving (in a culture that rarely talks about death).

Happy NYE! 2023 was total trash. Just all around hot garbage, and I’m glad it’s going to be over.
I am thankful to have been brought in for some cool jobs, especially during such unstable times. Thank you Cryptic Industries and Bryan Sides for bringing me on to body shop, and assemble this miniature print of the Stranger Things house. The print was a little rough, but it’s amazing what some elbow grease, primer, and bondo can do!
There were some great people I got to work with and we shared some solid laughs. It took a lot of hands to make this display come together: Keiko Moreno, Marcus Lamontagne, @liz_alvarez_art , @roseivy09 , @bonshigh , Lee Trujillo, Kevin Hsu, and Ken Hoffman.

Who am I posting two days in a row?!
Cryptic Industries brought me on for a very cute gig 🐱 for some displays that are up at The Egyptian Theatre for its reopening earlier this year. I did the finishing work on the cat boxes wrapping them in vinyl to avoid any light leaks for each of the cats. This display is based off Gabby’s Dollhouse on Netflix. Bryan Sides, Marcus Lamontagne, Lee Trujillo, Kevin Hsu, and Ken Hoffman all did the slide, lighting, and mech for the display.
Thank you Bryan, Keiko, and Marcus for bringing me on! I got to meet some cool artists working there, and it felt great to have some work during a really inconsistent year.
