💙 So with sadness in our hearts 💙 we would like to announce it’s a fond farewell from the MAKEITBLUE team.
💙 We no longer have the resources to continue #campaigning or #fundraising and we know that across the #events industry other bodies are brilliantly championing #mentalhealth
💙 As we pass the baton back to them, we must thank all those #caring #compassionate wonderful people who worked with us on our fabulous campaigns.
💙 You know who you are.
💙 We came together at an extraordinary moment in time and achieved some spectacular results!
💙 From every one of us here, thank you, look after yourselves and to all the artists we have been honoured to work with keep creating!
💙 The painting was donated by our friend and contributor Uffe Hanson, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Rest in peace Uffe knowing how your #artwork has touched so many people across the world.
💙 Love to all of you

In Mental Health Awareness Week (15-21 May) we focus on this year’s theme of Anxiety.
#eventprofs are no strangers to unexpected crises, immovable deadlines and seemingly unfixable glitches.
#Stress can quickly spiral into #anxiety but remember: you are part of a brilliant community of #problemsolvers
Organisations like Stress Matters @stressmattershq@anxietyukofficial Anxiety UK and our own EventWell® @eventwell exist to offer support, so don’t hesitate to reach out.

We are incredibly grateful to all our supporters who in helping us raise funds over the last 3 years, have enabled us to #giveback
We are honoured to have been able to support @dancesyndromeuk over our #makeitblue journey knowing how funding helps #communitygroups within the arts support their group members with #health #wellbeing #inclusion #opportunity #friendships #mentalhealth #skillset and #excercise
Dance Syndrome are currently #fundraising to be able to attend and perform @edfringe and we want to send Jen and all the team love, and good luck wishes for this incredible opportunity.
Love from all of us at Make It Blue 💙
Hats off to our friends at EventWell® who last year introduced specially-equipped Quiet Rooms at conferences, receptions, parties and exhibitions.
We can all benefit from a calm, quiet space in a hectic meetings environment but members of the neurodiverse community particularly appreciate the chance to escape the sensory storm.
EventWell are now piloting a school hubs programme, setting up wellbeing hubs and quiet rooms as permanent features in schools.

An enormous THANK YOU TO all of you wonderful #eventprofs who donated a whopping £5,730 to this year’s Event Relief.
Thanks too, to event director and podcaster Dan Assor Media for conceiving and delivering the 11-hour virtual fundraiser to support eventprofs’ mental health.
MAKEITBLUE is one of three event industry bodies that will disperse the funds where needed, focusing on colleagues who are struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout and a multiplicity of mental health conditions.
Mental health-related illness affects one in three event professionals every year and Dan launched Event Relief in 2021 to enable our industry to pull together and support colleagues in need.
If you missed Event Relief on 29 November you can see highlights on https://lnkd.in/eUWehF8s and most importantly, donate via page: https://lnkd.in/eZrWa2HY .

In the run-up to World Mental Health Day on 10 October we’re focusing on everybody’s emotional wellbeing.
Why not check in on a friend or family member you haven’t heard from for a while?
#reachout grab a coffee, a moment, do something together - ask the question #howareyou - what’s going on in your life?
Your call may be the best thing that happens to them all day.
Often people don’t reach out, ask for help, and it is up to all of us to make the change, make the effort, take the next step. As our friends over @poweredbymates Six Connections say - the power of help and support comes from friends reaching out to each other!

With #worldmentalhealthday on 10 October, we’re focusing on #selfcare for enhanced #wellbeing
Today: wrap your hands around a steaming mugful of comfort and savour every drop.

All the team at The Make It Blue Collective are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of her majesty The Queen.
Thank you for your years of service and for all the support you have given to the Arts over your lifetime, and for allowing Windsor Castle to be illuminated for the #lightitblue campaign in support of all those working across the NHS and #frontlineworkers
We send our condolences to @theroyalfamily and to all who work within the royal household.
#ripqueenelizabeth #thankyou

One of our team attended @plasaonline #plasanorth this week and used the time to chat and catch up with old friends and newly introduced colleagues.
Despite the #eventsindustry being open there is still a strain of sadness amongst a few after what has happened the last couple of years.
Some companies are really busy - but the problem still seems to be that there are a lot of talented people who have left the industry. This shortfall means there is huge pressure on those left behind as it takes years of training to operate much of the complex and specialised equipment used on events as well as learning to cope with long hours on site. It’s not a job anyone can do. There are huge health and safety issues, staff training, and event knowledge to run events. It’s not something you can pick up overnight and it takes resilience and passion for the industry to help get you through big production builds, schedules, and operational planning to make that one concert you see the audience see, happen.
It was great to see support for Make It Blue and spread awareness.
Watching all the videos of the last couple of years showing what we and @wemakeeventsofficial achieved on zero budget is impressive but still frustrating that all that had to be done in order to lobby government to get support.
There is still a long way to go. International supply chain is struggling, Brexit has caused paper trail issues and with the problems at the airports currently there were some there who didn’t know if they would make it to the exhibition and then get home.
Whilst it was positive to see everything up and running it has given a lot of reflection for some.
Keep going everyone! You are all doing amazingly and we have to keep #liveevents on the map.
