✨ Hello everyone! We just wanted to congratulate all the nominees and winners at the @tpimagazine awards this year! It was lovely to catch up with soo many people. Thank you to @flybynite_trucking and @22liveuk for hosting us both.
When we returned to touring with a crash after the pandemic we had to put We Need Crew on ice and focus on filing our own cups back up! We set this fundraiser up to raise money during a truly awful and testing time for everyone in our industry and are so happy to see people thriving and working again.
During the pandemic we are proud to say that you all raised over £270k to help colleagues. We will always be so grateful that people got behind us. 💜
We will make an effort to post and celebrate peoples wins in this industry when we can, and in the meantime our T-shirts are still available to buy and ALL proceeds will still go to Backup Tech who remain a pillar of support to many in our industry facing struggles beyond covid. This guy is so humble and you can feel the passion is his bands playing. Such a simple set up in a small club. Props to the FOH engineer, the room sounded incredible, and the monitor engineer who doubled as a bass player #WeNeedCrew for sure!!#WeMakeEvents
We are deeply saddened to hear that John Simpson of @backuptechuk has passed away on 11th June 2022. We are honoured to have met John and worked alongside him to help elevate the incredible work that Backup Tech do. John championed, supported and pushed @weneedcrew all along the way of our fundraising mission. Without John, hundreds of event crew from all backgrounds would not have the beacon of light that is @backuptechuk in dark times. We are sending so much love, respect and gratitude to John for all that he did for us and all that he has done for our industry. Rest in peace John ❤️ Alice & Karen 🕊
