An Architectural Diapason ✨ In our interactive stone Lithic Chords, shifting beams of light travel across the 21-metre span, catching the veins of stone, while water changes the colour of its surface. The sounds of #geological #resonance, drawn from Fondazione Sciola’s @giardino_sonoro sounding stones, rise and fall in response to movement through the installation. #Light, water, and #vibration intertwine, transforming the suspended structure into a living instrument: one that speaks of deep #material #memory and the shifting rhythms of its environment. Video by the talented @laurapanno 🪄 @venice.architecture.biennale @labiennale curated by @crassociati Thanks to fantastic @marcosantiniable for the support 🌿 #LithicChords #VeniceBiennale2025 #CristinaMorbi #Maetherea #SoundingStone #TimeAndTension #AugmentedTerritories #cereser #posttensionedstone #stone #interactiveinstallation #publicart #landscapeinstallation #lanscapearchitecture #venicebiennale2025 #venicearchitecture #stoneinstallation #venicebiennwle #biennale2025 #augmentedstone @cereserverona @thestonemasonrycompany

Repost from @dezeen • Landscape architecture practice Maetherea Studio (@maetherea ) has used rusty iron rebars to create an “amphibious” installation that emerges from reedbeds of the River Yare in Norfolk. Named Iron Reef, the installation is made from slim vertical bars of red-toned weathered metal that increase in height in a curved formation. Maetherea Studio’s design draws on the local landscape and is designed to sit in both the earth and water to withstand changing tides at the site. Read more at the link in more bio. ✍️ by Katie Last (@katielastt ) 📷 by Kristina Chan (@kristina_chan_ ) #installations #norfolk #metal #maetherea #ecology #architecture #landscapearchitecture #climatechange #symbiocene #anthropocene #photography #art #biodesign #norfolk #reedhamferry #performativelandscapes #landscape #metalwork #publicart #artinstallation #installazione #landscapedesign #landscapelovers #landscapefirst #paesaggio #architetturadelpaesaggio #arquitecturadelpaisaje #amphibious #dezeen

Sebentar lagi, 3 - 12 April 2026 - @studioklampisan • @maetherea | Instalasi Seni / Pertunjukan / Jelajah Etnografi / Lokakarya Eksperimental / Rukun Warga dan sebagainya — Ilmu Titen operates as a form of ancestral phenology a way of reading time through the living body of nature. It reveals itself in signs: falling leaves, shifting winds, and sounds that emerge only at particular moments Coming soon!, 3–12 April 2026 @studioklampisan Art Installation / Performance / Ethnographic Walks / Experimental Workshops / Community Gatherings and more📍 Banyuwangi #art

Petrichor (n.) The scent of rain on dry earth. A garden sanctuary designed by Studio Maetherea for reflection and renewal. Its living central sculpture, Petrichor, rises amidst swaying grasses and seasonal blooms, channelling rainwater to nurture the jasmine vines at its base. Nothing is static: There is no plinth, instead the base is soil. Here art and environment are synonymous. This memorial garden is about mourning as well as healing. Surrounding the garden, pollinator posts embrace the visitor, welcoming bees and life into this space where memory, ecology, and community meet. Ilmu Titen: The art of ancestral witnessing. 🌿 For centuries, Indonesian farmers have read the land like a manuscript. This is knowledge held not in archives, but in the tilting of the Waluku (Orion’s Belt), the scent of a shifting wind, and the sudden arrival of insects marking a change in the air. Through the Javanese seasonal calendar, Pranata Mangsa, we see time as a cyclical, relational rhythm/ where phenology binds climate, agriculture, and culture into a living system. In collaboration with Studio Klampisan and local farmers in Banyuwangi, we have established an open-air landscape laboratory. Here, within the rice fields, we are studying how these ancient cues are being altered and desynchronised by a changing climate. The fields are our performative landscape, and phenology is our calendar. This evolving landscape will be observed and use as a stage to question ancestral practices through the eyes of Climate urgencies Drone: Abi Muhamad Latif @worksofabi Ilmu Titen is a project supported by @idbritisharts @britishcouncil Team: @studioklampisan @worksofabi @dunia_dayu @yuda.lz @2cm_y @ximularcum @landscape.first #IlmuTiten #Phenology #PranataMangsa #ClimateKnowledge #Maetherea RiceFields Banyuwangi LandscapeAsCalendar StudioKlampisan Cristina Morbi
