ONE YEAR of Corridor of Colors! 😭 as I sit here on my birthday and reflect on ALL that I’m grateful for, The Bridge and all the beautiful people that made it possible are on top of the list for this past year. What an absolute joy it was, and continues to be. I’m still feeling the love. And above all, what an honor to have not only a talented photographer/videographer, but a dear friend, document the whole process. @peteyhobz THANK YOU, endlessly, for capturing it all so SO beautifully. I could not love this or be more proud of how it all turned out. Your hard work truly shows 🙏🏽 I know we’re all used to 15 second clips around here, but I reeeeally encourage you all to watch this whole thing (as a birthday present to me 🙃) - it’s worth every second! And make SURE to watch the very very end for credit to ALL the people that made this massive dream come true. And a special shout out to @the_south_hill_experiment for letting us use their amazing tunes! In honor of Earth Day, I’m throwing it all the way back to 2023, when I got to work on one of the coolest projects I’ve ever been a part of - “To The Jungles That Be” 🌳🌎💚 “Narratives of nature often leave out and lack BIPOC voices and perspectives. This project responds to that gap and starts with a question. What does nature mean to you? The Nature Conservancy’s Baltimore Program asked Baltimore-based author and artist Kondwani Fidel that question. His answer was the poem “To The Jungles That Be”.” I had the honor of working with @nature_org , the amazing Dave Cooper, and later my dear friends at @noisytenants to turn the incredible @kondwanifidel ‘s beautiful words into an illustration and then hand them off to the absolute magical talent that is @bronson_hoover who brought it all to life with his animation! The end result is a 2+ minute video (which I truly hope you watch till the end 🙏🏽) for The Nature Conservancy’s “To The Jungles That Be” campaign, which includes this animated video of the spoken-word poem, a website, and a series of workshops dedicated to collecting community stories and feedback. This initiative aims to leverage the power of art to initiate authentic dialogue around nature and trees in urban and underserved areas in Maryland with the ultimate goal of helping bring the benefits of the State’s Tree Solutions Now Act to the public. Had the honor of painting a little somethin somethin for my sweet sistercousin @avaohh last month! 🥲 🌺 🌕 🍃 Thank you Ava for trusting me (and housing me and feeding me for the duration of the mural lol). What an absolute joy it was ♥️

🌼 AUGUST 2025 🌼 [swipe toward the end for a whole lotta real time ooey gooey brush stroke goodnesssss 🤤] Got to paint another one for Total Health Care, this time at their Odenton location! The theme was native plants of Maryland, so I went with some good ol black eyed susans, purple cone flowers, hillside blueberries, and blue sedge! The style was a little different than my usual, but it was super fun to change things up a bit and get to use my favorite bb @zibrapainting brush for all the outlines 🙌🏽 Though it was a quick one I still called in my favorite painting partner @lynny_c to help me make it to the finish line on the last day & she was an absolute delight per usual 🙏🏽 Hoping for more opportunities to paint for healthcare facilities in 2026!

✨ OCTOBER 2025 ✨ Oh what’s that? Only 10 days left in the year? Maybe a good time for me to share some of my 2025 projects… 🙃 This one was a super fun, super loooooong hallway in @mcdanielcollege ‘s Rouzer hall! I got to work with some of the wonderful students to get some inspo for the design concept, and ended up with this bright, colorful, playful tapestry with - of course - a whole bunch of McDaniel themed Easter eggs hidden throughout (about a dozen or so 😉). Then I called in my partner in crime, the one & only @lynny_c to help me bring this baby to life in just under two weeks! 🙌🏽 it’s safe to say this one was one of our more fun working environments (and that had nooothing to do with the free cafeteria lunches & ice cream we got every day…. 👀🍦😋). THANK YOU, McDaniel family, for this awesome opportunity, the support, the endless kindness from both students & staff, AND the ice cream 😊 🫶🏽 Does YOUR 🫵🏽 college / university need a new mural? HIT ME UP! Cuz that was so fun and I wanna do it again 🙃

What an honor! @madebysaba and I were awarded the Placemaking Impact award by @downtownbaltimore for @brushmuralfest 2024 at @baltimoreconventioncenter Saba and I have been working hard to keep BRUSH Mural Fest going and make sure artists are given fair opportunities to flourish right here in Baltimore. Baltimore-based artist and muralist Saba Hamidi is currently working on installing a custom mural in the hallway that connects Rouzer Hall to the Roj Student Center in front of the Financial Aid and Bursar's Office. We are grateful for the donor support of this project and appreciate our current students who were part of the mural visioning process. We can't wait to see the finished work! 🎨
