Its finally here! Following a day of joyful and hopeful exploration of a better housing future, I've created an illustration that captures quotes, learnings and dreams from all the lovely people at the Housing Justice Carnival 2025 🌱 Swipe through to see the whole thing! When you think housing crisis, you usually thing cost of living crisis, high rent, landlords, mould, cold homes (to just name a few.) The Housing Justice Carnival, hosted as part of Architecture Fringe 2025 and the sunsetting of @anthropocene.a.s , aimed to reimagine those anxieties and worries, and create a joyful and hopeful space to bring them to the table (from a book club session with @architectscan 's climate literacy group discussing the Wee Yellow Butterfly, to radical imagination postcard drawing with @ronabisset and @bass.arch , to discussions and flip chart annotating with folks from @medact_org , @livingrentglasgow and @fuelpovertyaction and more!) It's been many months, but it still remains an absolutely incredible day, full of radical imagination and collective dreaming. Joy and hope are such powerful tools to enable us to envision a better future, and a route to tackle the challenges that we face in order to get there. illustration > @anthropocene.a.s > @archifringe > Housing Justice Carnival 2025 > CAPTURING THE DAY #illustration #activism #housingjustice #liveillustration

published > @paperspace.magazine > Issue 24: Less is More > THIS YEAR WITH BATH CLIMATE ACTION GROUP I can't believe it's been over two years of @bath.cag ! It has been such a joy to design and co-coordinate with a bunch of lovely people, and connect with so many more who are passionate about making the changes that need to be made 🌱 I invite you to consider: [ how can we create and sustain a movement in built environment education that is truly regenerative, restorative, and impactful, and equips those that encounter it with the tools necessary to face and reverse climate change? ] Full article available on the Paperspace website. #climateaction #architecturestudent

published > @paperspace.magazine > Issue 24: Less is More > RENEW: IN CONVERSATION WITH SUKUMAR NATARAJAN What does it mean to think of humans as part of the global ecosystem? This summer, I had the opportunity to interview Sukumar Natarajan, head of the RENEW research centre [ @renew_uob ] at @bathenganddes / @uniofbath for the 24th Issue of @paperspace.magazine . What started as a discussion about incorporating regenerative design at a student project level, evolved into deeper discussion about shifting narratives and humans as nature. Recently, we hosted a @wecanmakehomes neighbourhood meet-up to celebrate the richness of South Asian Culture, as part of South Asian Heritage Month. The specific focus was on craft and design, which sprung into a beautiful evening of joyous learning and connection 🪷 The evening began with short talks, accompanied by nimbu pani, mithai and chai, then followed by collective manji-making, bracelet weaving, DIY mehndi and a shared meal. To be able to curate an evening filled with elements from my culture and share that with people was truly restorative. I gave a presentation introducing the various climates in South Asia, and how this, along with shared cultures, has influenced architecture, design and craft. To my delight, it grew its own legs, entangling and connecting with other global experiences and recent conversations, which I have written a piece about [can be read on substack!] #southasianheritagemonth #desi #desiart #substack #craft #desicraft #communalart #wovenart #weaving #manji
