As we flow through Taurus season, time to relax and enjoy a few slow and steady moments. Perhaps indulge in some simple pleasures too...like sharing a meal on our patio... @atshilds put together these beautiful planters outside the cafe, and the energy is warm around here! It’s looking like a beautiful weekend to celebrate Mom, too. See you this weekend!

In 1992, they were joined by bassist James McNew, completing the trio that has played and written together ever since. Over more than four decades, they’ve released seventeen studio albums. Tickets are available via @opentable - find the link in our bio! We hope you’ll join us for this special evening. Sunday, May 31st | 6-9pm @ LOULOU by Lula | 3057 W. A fully vegetarian menu makes its way to Farm Dinner this Monday, May 4th. The first course goes green on green: early asparagus dressed up in a creamy green goddess made so many herbs— including lovage, a celery-esque favorite. For the second, beautiful canoe-harvested wild rice from Wisconsin with meaty lion’s mane mushrooms from @fourstarmushrooms , grilled ramps, pecans and basil. Kind of like a spring paella...in a Lula way. And for dessert…it’s sweet pea gelato magic with matcha and almond. Best of multiple worlds. Three courses, $54, one night only.

About a week and some until our next L. Soirée! We’re thrilled to welcome artist Diana Guerrero-Maciá (@diana.guerrero.macia ) and Fred Saskaki (@fredsasaki ), Creative Director of the @poetryfoundation . We’ll begin the evening with a first Chicago viewing of two colorful new screenprints by Guerrero-Maciá, published by @process_process , then move into an exploratory conversation moderated by Angee Lennard. We’ll end with a communal meal by the @lulacafe team, accompanied by an ambient playlist by Joe Adamik. All guests will receive a commemorative collage and flower, selected by the artist! Friday, April 24th, 6:30-9:00pm $95/person | 3057 W. Logan Blvd Tickets are available at the link in our profile. _______ Curated by Amalea Tshilds (@atshilds ), L. Soirée is an intimate, salon-style gathering where performance, stories, and conversation unfold together. The series is collaborative by design—artists are invited to invite someone they’d like to converse and work with. The design of the evening is only dictated by a loose structure of this salon. Lea created L. Soiree in order to hear what musicians and artists have to say in community, without the imposition of interview-style questions. Each artist sets their own pace, deciding how much is dialogue and how much is performance. The two can blend, shift, or stand alone, depending on what feels right in the moment. It’s an open format that invites authenticity, aiming toward understanding and compassion.

After a powerful run in the Florida Keys, the Anti-ICE Supper Club is headed to Chicago. From May 4–7, we’re hosting four nights of incredible food and community action in support of the immigrant and refugee communities that are the lifeblood of this country. We kick things off with a Cambodian feast at Hermosa (@hermosachicago ), then move to Lula Café (@lulacafe ) for a night of ingredient-driven cooking at one of the city’s defining kitchens. Next: TXA TXA Club (@txatxaclub ), where the focus shifts to creative community-building. We close with a first look at Gilda (@gildachicago )—one of Chicago’s most anticipated openings. All net proceeds benefit the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (@icirr_il ), supporting their work defending and advancing immigrant rights across the state. Seats are limited. Book via the link in bio.

“Lula, what were you like in the 90s?” Us: Well, let’s just say she’s grown since 1999, but her heart is still in the same place. Before Lula, there was Logan Beach. And after 26 years, we’re grateful for how much our community has grown. Thanks for being here ❤️
