“It all came down to serving the truth of the situation. It was just about putting these characters in an environment where they are forced to hide or speak ‘around’ the problem, and seeing them battle with this.” Within the confines of a hectic British Pakistani takeaway, 'MAGID / ZAFAR' (معجد / ظفیر) interrogates preconceived notions of South Asian masculinity.
