My Ex-Yugoslavian Apartment – Jazz, Synth-Wave, and Disco from Tito's Era - a new mix
Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to stay for 10 days in a beautiful apartment in Sarajevo, almost perfectly preserved, retaining all the vintage flavor of past decades from an era that no longer exists.
Inspired by this experience, I recorded a one-hour exclusive selection featuring my favorite tracks from the '70s to the '90s, spanning the former Yugoslavian countries.
I hope these pictures and an elevator ride to the 20th floor of this brutalist building set the mood for you to enjoy my mix on SoundCloud (link in stories and bio).

Ana Flávia is a São Paulo native from Brazil, currently living in Istanbul.
She is a versatile DJ, party curator, and creative force behind various musical projects, exploring a wide range of genres, known as a musical explorer who has always sought to bring other worlds into her sets. Creating an atmosphere with touches of retro electronics and avant-garde refinement is her trademark, in a research that flows from space to italo-disco, with tropical twists with a unique and refined approach to Brazilian music and global disco.
In the city, she is part of the Dans Agogo project, which connects music from Latin America with other continents, and of Saye Art Kollektif as a DJ and cultural agitator.

Şenay & Elis. Tão longe tão perto ❤️
O Brasil tem Elis Regina, a Turquia tem Şenay. Duas mulheres que amaram demais, cantaram muito, foram censuradas e se foram cedo demais. Nos anos 70 suas musicas se cruzaram mas imagino que elas nunca tenham se conhecido.
Elis gravou Ye- mele , de Luís C. Vinhas e Chico Feitosa em 1968 e Şenay gravou a versao em turco em 1974 que virou En Büyük Şansın Yaşıyor Olman (Sua maior sorte é estar vivo). Descobri isso trocando músicas com minha amiga talentosíssima @qubra_uzun , apaixonada por Şenay assim como eu sou apaixonada por Elis. Ela me mandou a versão turca e eu quase infartei. Nao sei qual eu eu amo mais.
Esse ano eu toquei pela terceira vez para o projeto @sista.sound em Istanbul e sempre procuro fazer uma seleçao entre mulheres latino americanas e da Eurasia. Desta vez em homenagem ao dia das Mulheres como @dansagogo tocamos as duas versões de Elis e Şenay na sequência e foi muito lindo ver as mulheres na plateia (turcas e brasileiras) se reconhecendo ali, cantando junto e dançando suas próprias danças.
Porquê no fundo, tocar pra mim é sobre isso.

Ana Flávia
São Paulo çıkışlı Ana Flávia Brezilya melodilerini elektronik müzikle harmanlıyor. Red Bull Music Academy mezunu olan Flávia, Sónar Barcelona ve Dekmantel Porto Alegre başta olmak üzere birçok uluslararası festivalde sahne aldı.
Ahu
Şarkıcı, söz yazarı ve DJ kimliğiyle uluslararası sahnede üretmeye devam eden Ahu, Flying Lotus ve Emanative gibi isimlerle iş birlikleri gerçekleştirdi. Sónar, Brainfeeder ve Worldwide Festival sahnelerinde yer aldı.
Kornelia
Polonya kökenli DJ, plak koleksiyoncusu ve küratör Kornelia, 2015’ten bu yana İstanbul merkezli çalışıyor. Setlerinde 70’lerin organik tınılarını, cazı, Türk ve Orta Doğu’ya ait nadir kayıtları global groove ile bir araya getiriyor. Kornelia’nın seçkileri dans kadar keşif de vaat ediyor.

Dans Agogo brings together three powerful women DJs from Brazil, Türkiye, and Poland. On March 7 at Salon İKSV, Ana Flávia, Ahu, and Kornelia invite us into an eclectic journey connecting Brazilian rhythms with Middle Eastern sounds and global groove.
Last year, we experienced Ana Flávia’s solo performance at our International Women’s Day celebration, and this time the energy expands as a trio. With international stages such as Sónar and Dekmantel behind them, and collaborations ranging from Flying Lotus to rare record archives, each artist brings her own depth to the dancefloor.
