What a journey—and it’s just the beginning for Ferrari Hypersail.
I had the privilege of leading the creation of this new identity, with the team at @accuratdesign as close partners from start to finish. What started as a casual conversation with Gabriele—my studio mate at @salotto.nyc —turned into something much bigger: a bold new chapter for one of the world’s most iconic brands.
Ferrari Hypersail launches a new adventure and introduces a distinct mark—a fresh logo that joins the legacy of the Prancing Horse and the iconic Racing Shield. As the visual expression of a zero-emissions racing boat and Ferrari’s commitment to innovation on water, this new identity carries Ferrari’s DNA across sails, hulls, and uncharted waters.
Designed to reflect Hypersail’s ambition—breaking records with zero emissions—the logo channels performance, sustainability, and innovation. Its form suggests speed and flow, while retaining Ferrari’s core DNA through the Cavallino, custom typography, and Giallo Modena accents.
This is more than a static mark. It’s a responsive identity system—flexible, data-native, and built to adapt across future collaborations and environments, all while preserving Ferrari’s uncompromising standards.
Thank you to Giovanni, Tommaso, and Eleonora for the endless support, and toKatie and Andrea at Ferrari for making some amazing work together.
As Accurat evolved through its repositioning—shaping the distinct identities of our Tech and Studio divisions—we saw the need to redefine our brand to better reflect this new vision and our Data Native approach.
Collaborating with @lorenzofanton we crafted a typographic logo that preserves key elements of our previous symbol, inspired by shorthand writing. This new identity not only honors our heritage but also embodies the dual nature of Accurat, seamlessly blending analytical precision with creative expression.
We are thrilled to announce our first workshop series tailored to photographers looking to integrate design into their practice. Hosted by Amber Terranova, former Education Director at Magnum Photos, this two-weekend workshop (can be booked separately) will explore how to bring photographs to life in both print and digital mediums.
The first workshop, “Photography to Web Design” guided by Guillermo Brotons, will delve into designing interactive and visually impactful online platforms to showcase photography. The second workshop, “Photography to Print” led by designer Lorenzo Fanton, will focus on transforming photographs into tangible, compelling print works. We will have a meet and greet aperitivo on the Friday evening prior to each workshop.
Join us as we explore the intersection of photography and design, equipping participants with tools and insights to elevate their creative practice.

Some places hold a quiet magic, hidden away and waiting for the curious. Two of my favorite spots in New York—both subtle and full of wonder—are the focus of my recent pieces for @internimagazine as part of #salottodispatch.
🔸 The Lubalin Center, a sanctuary for type enthusiasts and design aficionados. It’s where Herb Lubalin’s visionary work continues to inspire and challenge the way we see typography.
🔸 Mmuseumm, a tiny yet monumental space reimagining what a museum can be. Its shelves are filled with everyday objects, each with a story that’s humorous, strange, or unexpectedly profound.
Both are places you won’t stumble upon—they’re for those who love to seek out the unexpected. Writing about them was a way to share the joy they bring me, and I hope they might inspire you too.
Thank you to both @alexandertochilovsky and @namlak_xela to share their journey with me!
Career update!
I’ve been wanting to teach for a while now, so starting at the School of Visual Arts is a big moment for me. SVA’s long history and the incredible designers who’ve taught there make it feel like such an honor to join in. It’s a new challenge that I’m really excited to take on, and I can’t wait to dive into this next chapter and be part of the community, learning and growing alongside the students.
It’s hard to put into words the feeling of 10 years of work finally arriving on your doorstep, but here we are! My book, The Cedar Lodge is now actually finished and available for purchase! I will make more posts in the near future with information on my forthcoming webshop, launch events, book fairs, etc, but for now I mostly want to share how grateful I am. Thank you to those who participated in the pre-order, those who have encouraged and supported me along the way, and those who offered guidance and advice on publishing an art book. I am truly overwhelmed by my community and how you all give me courage to put myself out there. And most of all I want to thank @lorenzofanton not only for his incredible book design but for being my number one, and for always believing in me and this project, through the laughter and tears he’s been there. And of course, to @zatarapress for taking a chance on a first time author with a big dream. You can buy the book now via Zatara’s website, or directly though me. You all humble me, thank you thank you thank you. #thecedarlodge
Today I enter into the next decade. Sometimes I use my bday as a moment to reflect on how things are going in my life, more than the usual end of the year mark; No resolutions, no conclusions, no goals. Just a gut check how I feel about my personal state of affairs (I’m a cancer after all). And trust me, today lots of the feelings have poured in, some clearer than others.
I went to my favorite inforgraphic ever made (the feelings wheel) to clarify what was going on in my body/mind since I wasn’t able to pin point down what it was.
Most of all, I feel thankful. I remember being younger and feeling the opposite where I thought others owed me at all times, what a little brat.
I feel content, what should I even complain about??
I still feel an innate sense of curiosity toward life, that’s my creative juice.
I feel valued by the people that sorround me.
I feel courageous to try things that I’ve never done before.
I feel loving towards pretty much everyone, but especially the people that have been closest to me.
And most of all, I feel optimistic about what’s next.
I guess while times goes by, the lessons and knowledge someone earns gets added to the cauldron of life, making it an even more delicious soup (that’s an odd metaphor, but you get the point).
To a new decade, to an ever expanding life and to a more flavorful soup.
And shout out to the best @pieromartinello for the portrait.

The collective installation Dream On, created on the occasion of @nycxdesign , is live at @flouspa Flaghship SoHo Showroom until May 23rd.
The @salotto.nyc members who contributed gave their interpretation of Dream. My piece, called “ephemeral” got (unintentionally) a little wet.
Thank you everyone for coming last Saturday at the opening.

For my fellow type nerds, this letters were shaped after Papageno, a font designed by Richard Weber in 1958 for Bauer, thanks to a specimens found on the ever-more-essential letterforms archive.
The ADI Design Museum celebrates the iconic figure of Pinocchio with the exhibition "Dear Pinocchio," gathering projects by Italian designers and graphic artists inspired by the famous puppet. In commemoration of the 140th anniversary of Carlo Collodi's book, the exhibition showcases a wide range of works exploring the enduring impact of this icon on creativity.
At the heart of the show there are 62 new projects created by 31 industrial designers and 31 graphic designers specifically for the exhibition. These projects represent “a diverse expression of the thoughts and actions of many Italian designers: an expansive, kaleidoscopic, and surprising perspective capable of showcasing Italian design's ability to create timeless images and objects, thus celebrating the myth of Geppetto, the first Italian designer!” (Giulio Iacchetti)

(Giulio Iacchetti)

Alongside some of the top italian designers, I was invited by @adidesignmuseum and @giulioiacchetti to be part of “Carissimo Pinocchio” the show that celebrates the 140 years since the first publication of “Le avventure di pinocchio” by Carlo Collodi.
Here’s a blurb from the catalogue about the poster:
Pinocchio comes to life through a mosaic of book spines in different languages, each showcasing a unique typographic character. This fusion of cultures and fonts celebrates Pinocchio's extraordinary international influence, being the second most translated work of fiction worldwide. The poster isn't just a visual representation of 140 years of font evolution, but also a tribute to the beauty of the languages in which it has been translated.
Thank you to the ADI Museum and Giulio for the opportunity, it was a fun one!
The show opened last week and will run until February 4th, 2024.
A few leftover ideas at the end, one a little ambiguous…
