Otevřená výzva je určena pro všechny (nejen) pro umělce, zahradníky, myslitele, performery, sousedy či hudebníky — všichni jsou zváni. Od uchazečů se nevyžaduje specifická zkušenost, ale zájem o experimentální a participativní formy současné praxe.

Projekt se uskuteční v prostoru naší zahrady v období od 18. do 21. června 2026 a v Divadle 29 od 23 do.–25. června.

The artistic collective Ferst Dadler with Loré Lixenberg, offers participation in the performative event Zahradníiíiíiíiíi republika, held in the garden space of the City Gallery Pardubice (GAMPA) from June 18 to 21, 2026, as well as participation in a performative gathering on the founding of this republic a ˈkonfɛrɛnt͡sɛ, taking place from June 23 to 25, 2026 at Divadlo 29.

Baseball, Bach, a disused railway line and the use of music to torture prisoners might be unexpected inspirations behind the work of a composer who is an Oxford professor by day. But the piano music of Martyn Harry – born in Crawley, West Sussex, in 1964 – proves to be a wild, kaleidoscopic mix of just such unlikely influences: Satie, Sorabji, American minimalism, Prokofiev, Silvestrov and more, all intended to exercise the technique of his good friend, the fireball pianist Jonathan Powell, whose early death in December 2025 shocked the musical world. There is a gleeful, almost manic quality to much of this music that found a counterpart in the unflagging energy of Powell’s playing. A song-cycle setting six early Anna Akhmatova poems, and featuring mezzo-soprano Lore Lixenberg, likewise taps into the tension she found in intimacy, releasing a surprising degree of passion.

There will then be a discussion with Oxford academics Carolin Duttlinger and Eric Clarke.

Dvě mezinárodní dua v jednom večeru. Zvukový bestiář pro dvě trubky v podání německé hudebnice Birgit Ulher a pražského improvizátora Petra Vrby a procházka hudební krajinou britské mezzosopranistky Loré Lixenberg a italského perkusisty Elii Morettiho.

Jedinečná audiovizuální spolupráce dvou respektovaných improvizátorů a skladatelů, kteří soustavně překračují hranice svých nástrojů. Rozšířené techniky hry, preparace a práce s elektronikou tvoří společný základ této dvojice, jež vznikla po mimořádně úspěšném koncertě na festivalu The NOW now v Sydney. Organizátoři tehdy přišli s nápadem propojit oba hudebníky na jednom pódiu – a vzniklo setkání, které přerostlo v dlouhodobou spolupráci. Ulher a Vrba při svých okamžitých kompozicích citlivě naslouchají jeden druhému a vzájemně se inspirují k novým zvukovým trajektoriím. Společně objevují zvukové možnosti svých nástrojů i sdíleného prostoru a vytvářejí pro posluchače objevnou cestu napříč nečekanými zvukovými krajinami.
Loré Lixenberg & Elia Moretti
Britská vokalistka Loré Lixenberg a italský perkusista Elia Moretti zacházejí s hudbou jako s krajinou, kterou je třeba společně projít, nikoli jako s objektem, který je třeba ovládat. Dech, perkuse, hlas, elektronika a náhoda se setkávají jako poutníci, kteří se navzájem poznají jen v letmém míjení. Pod povrchem proudí tichý neklid — podezření, že naslouchání by mohlo stále vzdorovat rychlosti a osamělosti naší doby. Co zůstává, je sdílený interval: křehká, zářivá pozornost, v níž se zvuk nestává výrazem, ale způsobem, jak být spolu.
Oba hudebníci spolupracují od roku 2018 a kromě hraní v duu působí v performativních projektech Konferentse nebo Zahradníiiiii republika, jehož rozhlasová podoba získala v loňském roce prestižní cenu Prix Italia. Jejich koncertu bude předcházet několikadenní tvůrčí rezidence v Divadle 29.

Interesting piece in the guardian today on the whole sorry overblown Timothée Chalamet affair, and whilst I don't give a shit what TC thinks (If the future of acting is a flatworm with Botticelli eyes, then frankly the robots can have it) and dont agree with the whole article, it raises interesting points, and this paragraph stood out, which is about the rise, fall & vanishing of Anna Nicole by M.A. Turnage and Richard Thomas.
Comedy is one of the few art forms that can puncture status in real time. Maybe that is why, given the milieu of people who run the opera houses, true comedy in opera is so rare and that when an opera is truly funny, it is doomed. Because uncontrolled laughter is not a cultural product, it is not content or an important conversation. It is the sudden collapse of all the invisible scenic flats holding the room up, status, etiquette, deference, jargon. True comedy does not argue with power on power’s preferred terms. It just points at the thing everyone was pretending not to notice and says..that...that absurd, tottering, over-promoted thing. That’s what you’ve built your life around. And then people laugh. And once people laugh, it’s very hard to put the laughter back in the special box marked civil discourse.

This is an invitation to the vocally curious: a mutual exploration Maurice Lemaître’s poetry, how to get inside his work with the voice, the body, breath, attack, nonsense, precision, excess, breakdown, lyricism, stupidity, wit, and all the glorious forms of organised vocal disobedience that perfomance poetry used to permit before everything became 'practice-based research' written in a tone designed to attract funding panels and other assorted Europuddings.
The focus will be on performing Lemaître’s poem Roxanne together during the evening vernissage of:
