Forbidden Fruits On Set Part One
Tomorrow comes a day so long in the making for @atwwalloway and @lilyhoughton - the opening of Forbidden Fruits nationwide.
I spent last March on set as Field Producer, Theatrical Marketing, sharing an Airbnb with @idkmybffsav and Dexter (see next carousel coming tomorrow!) and still just feel so lucky that I got to see Mere in her element every day, 7 years after we made Deep Tissue.
It’s a true testament to the power of what getting out there, getting scrappy, and making good work with your friends can lead to - make that first short, make that second short, go to festivals, meet people, write write write, pitch pitch pitch. Meredith, you’ve worked so hard to get here and deserve every bit of success to come. Thanks for bringing me along on this Fruits journey ❤️🍓
Get tix to see the campy cunty good time that is @forbiddenfruitsfilm this weekend!!
It was tough and exhausting but I’m so proud of the work of the whole Press Office and feel so lucky that I got to return home in a sense for such a special year, and end the trip by turning 40.
What a joy to see so many friends out in the wild like @itsmeganleo@amlebow@theamynicholson (that photo really represents where my brain was at that day 😂) @reesiecakes310@5carsondascene@peterkapow@landonjz and @rachel_lauren and cheer on friends with films in the festival like @locanilla and @kidblue . How special to witness the massive standing ovation for Josephine after its Premiere and arrange an impromptu Criterion Closet-like photo shoot for long time SIO members/alums/programmers at the Legacy party Kanopy activation. The Library was blessed with both Buddy and an Alien baby, and I was blessed with getting to work with @monamantia and @foxberger at the Eccles one final time and get winners photos once more at my fav event Shorts Awards with amazing co-workers @sf1533 and @alexcourides . I finally saw the Filmmaker Lodge (at my 13th festival lol) and hugged the Main Street Bear (Franz) goodbye. Thank
It was emotional (I cried like six times on Tuesday alone, thank goodness @michaellerman was there) and beautiful and while I’m excited for Boulder, it’s worth saying that Park City, I’ll never forget you.

2025 was terrible for so many reasons, but I’m grateful for the happy moments and the amazing people I shared them with.
While cult status for some may be up for debate, I’ve certainly donned a few horror costumes in my time….@kinocult@kinolorber

Had the pleasure of attending @familymeal__la tonight and wow what a joy to see a @thespeakeasysoc show again 🥹. I saw someone describe it as Succession meets The Bear and thought that nailed it, so wanted to add that here.
I would have been heartbroken to miss their first show back in years and it truly lived up to my extremely high expectations. The meal was fucking DELICIOUS, the acting was fantastic and the direction was impeccable, everything timed to a tee without ever feeling forced. The verisimilitude is 🧑🍳😘 and I was on cloud 9 to be at a show that checks so many of my “I wish every immersive show was this” boxes:
✅ food AND drink (and GREAT food and drink yet)
✅ over 3 hours long 😍 (bang for your buck!)
✅ in an actual gorgeous historical home
✅ an environment where interaction with the characters and each other is encouraged (but not required for any friends wishing to take a back seat and simply observe!)
✅ no element of fighting to have the level of involvement you want / view that you want - everything felt balanced and I never felt deprived
I also got to show off that I know the difference between a Riesling and a Gruner which was just the cherry on top.
Tickets for November are going on sale soon, so keep an eye on their instagram page to grab tickets before they’re gone!
Note: I took photos of the food and menu, but honestly it’s better to just let it be a surprise! That photo of the cake in process of being mangled is a hint at an interactive moment at the end I loved, but that’s all I’ll say ✨
1. Some of us took direction (you’re scared!) some of us did not
2. Drinking on the job (puller of levers)
3. Giggling on the job (newspaper man)
4. How it started
5. How it’s going
(Definitely not how that meme works)
6. Where are we looking cause it’s not at the same thing
7. Hanging out between two bodies of water all night = blurry Amanda
8. The coolest thing I’ve ever seen
9. Fa-Shon
10. Red!
11. I was very scared
12. The only food was pretzels
13. We are models
14. We r bold we r horror we r voice

Last year, I participated in the @greatgothamchallenge and despite doing terribly, absolutely loved it. If you want a peek inside at last year's actual puzzles (and the fun we had solving them), here is a six minute video for you to enjoy lol.
Tried to get a photo of my mom’s novel with Bucky in the background - didn’t quite work but here are my attempts lol
Yesterday was my mom’s birthday and I count my blessings whenever I get quality time with my parents because I know how damn lucky I am. I wouldn’t be who I am without my mom, both literally duh and figuratively. From my blue eyes to my flair for the creative, being able to sing on key and stand up for what I believe in to my love of period pieces and my ability to know my own worth, even at my lowest. I’ve been so loved and I only hope I can give back to the world as much love as I’ve received these past 39 years.
Happy birthday mom, who looks damn good at age 78 - celebrate by pre-ordering her semi-autobiographical novel that covers her time spent as a photographer in places like Jamaica, London and Pakistan, rock and roll shoots, movie sets, and everything in between - plus there’s also a love story and a lot of sex scenes so hey something for everyone?
Pre-order Lenswoman in Love now! Link in bio!
2024 in Review Part Two:
Didn’t let a bad sprain keep me from attending @sxsw
Met a celebrity at @festivaldecannes (The dog from Black Dog)
My first @psfilmfest ShortFest as a programmer 💛💛
Finding the most insane possible event to attend while in Rome. Bless you, Pinocchio: Back To Wood
Going to the Delta One Lounge the day after it opened and oh GOD we have to go BACK
Nailing my Halloween costume teehee
Holidays with Smut Club. Had 16 meetings this year with the most wonderful group of ladies discussing 16 smutty books ranging from terrible to transcendent.
Started producing a feature with this amazing team - can’t wait to start shooting in just a couple weeks! (Wish instagram didn’t cut Ubah in half 😔)
Saw 14 shows in New York and Oh Mary! was a true highlight - so happy I got to see @coleescola before it was too late!
Year four of dinners every 6-8 weeks with these women I love so damn much. This year we had two at home editions plus dinners at Hatchet Hall, Lasita, Baar Baar, Bacetti, and Dunsmoor and welcomed three new tiny members to the fam: Ella, Sal and Nora!
At least 15 escape rooms (way too low a number imo ugh) and escaped them all! Well I guess we technically died in a train crash in this one Parisian room we did, but…we solved all the puzzles soooo…
Triumphant return to Ren Faire after having to miss group day last year
Went to oh so many @567broadway dance classes, both in person and virtual. Discovering these classes virtually during lockdown truly changed my life. I can’t believe that she who has two left feet and always hated dancing (…me) now finds such joy in it ❤️
Finally sang Angel at @thefable.la ’s sad karaoke
Mike singing with the mother of the bride at @jenyamato and @jasoneisener ’s beautiful wedding
Embarrassed myself on national television but won $500 and honestly had the best day ever with @neginsingh and new friends @dougyyfreshh@kyyyybear 🤷♀️
