With @touchdesigner POPs now in experimental, I am releasing version 1 of my Laser Mapping Tool. You can find the download link on my Patreon! This tool is designed for people who output to their laser projector directly from Touchdesigner (helios, audio signal, etc). This version of my laser mapping tool is based on the Cubic Bezier function to give a smoother curved path for interpolation. I also included some common aspect ratios if you want to use this for matching the projection mapping with a video projector. I recommend setting the correct aspect ratio before performing the mapping calibration. Just click the “setup” button in the LaserMapper container properties window to open up the mapping tool. Then enable the mapper with the switch and turn on the grid. Drag-select a box over the points you wish to move and use the keyboard arrows to move the points. Use the scaling numbers (0.1, 0.01, 0.001, 0.0001) to further refine your mapping calibration. We tend to confine light to static roles and rigid rules. In this work, light is granted the freedom to move and exist independently on the canvas.
