ECHO d'strict Art Project Erin Kara, Ian Condry, Kyle Keane, oOps.50656, KKOL Studio Installation, 8-channel kinetic sound and light 2024 ECHO, part of the first series of d'strict Art Project, is the outcome of this one-of-a-kind collaborative effort. It is a Landscape of energy and rhythm found might, in the deepest soil, the inner self, innermost somewhere, or the natural algorithms of the earth. The algorithms becomes an abstract rhythm, continuously flowing as a generative and organic movement, forming the relationships and native innermost landscape. [Peformance] 몽유도원무, 국립극장 레퍼토리시즌 / 2022년 국립극장에서 초연했던, 그리고 정말 애정하는 작업인 <몽유도원무>를 2024년 국립극장에서 달오름극장에서 다시 선보입니다. 〰️♾️✖️ ‘몽유도원무’ 속 ‘굽이굽이’ 펼쳐진 한국의 산세를 창작의 원천으로 삼아, 현실 세계의 험준한 여정을 지나 이상 세계인 ‘도원’에 이르는 과정을 현실과 이상 세계를 담아냈다. 몸의 선과 제너러티브 알고리즘으로 구현한 한국의 산세, 몽환적인 음악 그리고, 무용수 각자의 호흡과 춤 선으로 생동하는 개성을 담은 춤사위는 마치 몸으로 그림을 그리는 듯 절묘한 경지를 선보이며 그림과 춤의 경계, 현실과 이상세계를 넘나든다. 🌗 oOps.50656(오가닉오퍼레이터) 규철과 선정의 제너러티브 알고리즘으로 펼쳐내는 동적인 수묵담채의 움직임들은 무용-음악-무대-시간과 유기적인 관계를 이루면서 원-근경을 만들어 내고, 굽이굽이 어우러진다. [Multi Channel Sound Installation] 6월 21일 부터 서울역284에서 진행하는 디스트릭트의 reSound전에서, 작품 <ECHO> 멀티채널 사운드로 전시하고 있습니다:) Erin Kara와 MIT 연구팀, Kyle Keane의 블랙홀 ray tracing Sonification 사운드를 샘플링하고, 시공간 왜곡을 통해 컴포지션했다. 그래뉼러 신디시스와 micro 단위의 소리 합성을 활용한 구성, 피드백을 활용한 소리 변형과 반복을 통해 블랙홀의 사운드를 구현하고, 멀티채널 구성에서는 블랙홀의 모양과 주변 움직임의 구조적 변화와 속도의 변화 및 대조적 운동성을 통해 블랙홀의 시공을 청각이미지로 시-공을 감각하는 경험을 만든다. Doppler 효과와 소리의 시간차를 활용한 8채널 구성으로 공간적 측면을 강화하고, 청취 공간 내에서 깊이감과 움직임을 생성했다. 제너렉 8채널 스피커 시스템을 활용하여 각 채널은 블랙홀 주변의 다양한 소리와 움직임을 재현했다. 관객들은 8채널 스피커 시스템의 중심에 위치하여 이동하면서 소리의 변화를 경험하게 된다.
