Yay. My beautiful film LITTLE HANDS is having its Australian premiere in my hometown Melbourne for the wonderful Melbourne Woman In Film @mwff_au - tonight 7:30 at ACMI for closing night.
A film I made for my mum and all woman worldwide. Shinning a light on womb and generational trauma.

So close to where my dad was born. This film is for all our families who migrated. For all the woman in our lineages who have carried so much and passed on so much to us and for the healing we have done to heal them too.

Im sitting on my father’s door step in Italy when he was a child. My beautiful Nonno Giovanni left to go to Australia for a better life after the war and called my family to come on a ship from Naples once he knew Australia was a good place for his family. My family.
I sit here in Cercicati, Calabria reconnecting with family who still lives in Italy thinking of all who came before me, all the incredible brave ancestors who shaped our lives.
I feel them close in this land. I want to heal their pain through my own healing. I want to love as fiercely and bravely as my Nonno did to try and find a better life for them.
I am here because of all that came before me and I sit on the land with deep humilty and respect and say thank you to all my Italian lineage. I feel you so close deep in my blood.
I will continue to tell stories from this land to honor you.
