The Lion’s Path will be an open-air cultural history and heritage walk that connects visitors to DC Chinatown through art, history, and community storytelling. A series of painted guardian lion statues representing various historical touch points throughout Chinatown will honor the stories, people, and businesses that defined the neighborhood. #chinatown #art #history #storytelling #lions

Welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse! 🧧🐎 The Chinatown Lunar New Year Coalition is thrilled to invite you to a two-week celebration of heritage, resilience, and community! From February 16th to the 28th, we are bringing the heart of DC Chinatown to life with events that honor our past and build our future. What to expect: ✨ Culture & Tradition: Lion dances by the Chinese Youth Club and Hung Ci, and historic walks through the neighborhood. ✨ Community Art: Join the Save Chinatown Solidarity Network for “Art of the Fire Horse.” ✨ Big Energy: The annual CCBA Lunar New Year Parade (drawing 35,000+ attendees!) and the late-night Chinatown Funk Express. ✨ Nurture the Neighborhood: Support our legacy small businesses!
