Having lost my beautiful nan Ellen to dementia, I’ve seen how truly devastating it can be. That’s why I am honoured to have photographed this years campaign for @alzheimersresearchuk and I ask you to please stop scrolling, read, engage and share - because we really need your support! One in three people born today will develop the condition in their lifetime unless we bring about life-changing preventions and treatments. But I’ve never been more hopeful of breakthroughs.

I shot a campaign for Disney!!!❤️🏰
Ever since I first started out in photography, shooting for Disney was a dream of mine. It may have taken just over a decade but I can tick that one off now! 👸🏻 Yay!!
It was a real honour to shoot this campaign for @disneyuk - To celebrate Disney's 100 Years of Wonder we transformed models into real-world versions of specific Disney characters, and photographed them at significant landmarks around the UK! I even got to fly to Stornoway, Scotland for the Brave inspired image! 🏴

This morning I took a moment to look back through my portfolio of work, and appreciate just how many incredible women I’ve had the privilege of photographing over the years, so many that I can’t possibly include them all in one post - but here’s a selection of some memorable shoots with amazing women, in front and behind the camera.

These last couple of years I’ve taken a step back from pushing my work online, and I’ve been struggling to know what it is I want to create, overly scrutinising my work, and forgetting why I picked up a camera in the first place.
But I think it’s starting to come back, and looking through my portfolio today is a reminder of what I’m capable of, and how much I love being a photographer. I look forward to truly finding that part of me again, and here’s to lots more years of photographing and working with incredible women.

A Little Shop of Horrors shoot starring @disabled_eliza , where I got to make the iconic, man-eating alien plant from the musical - SWIPE to see how I made it!
This is all part of Eliza’s series where they recreate well known theatre characters as wheelchair users! It’s once again a privilege to be a part of it.
I had so much fun making Audrey II for this, and really enjoyed every step of the journey. It took some time, but I’m really happy with how it turned out! I found the YouTube channel Mythical Makers Workshop really handy for tips and tricks for this make, which was super helpful.
I really hope you love this one, to see all the photos head over to @disabled_eliza page where they actually transform into Audrey II, a costume piece made by their husband Michael, who also painted an old bathroom cabinet to double up as our shop counter - amazing!

Twas The Night Before Christmas, and I decided to make a snowman! ☃️
Wishing those who celebrate a very Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
I hope you like this festive self-portrait, the idea for this image popped into my head just a few days ago after coming across Isaac Alexander DIY’s video on YouTube, where he made a snowman from beachballs and expanding foam. I thought that was such a cool idea, I had to give it a go and include it in a shoot! So it was a bit of a race against time to get the snowman made and image shot, but I’m really happy with how it turned out! What do you think?!

Who doesn’t love a classic portrait shoot with a twist?
SO much fun capturing these portraits of talented writer and actor @samiacomedy for her show Kidnap. Samia Rida’s one-woman show is a comedy/drama based on the true story of her kidnap to Saudi as a child. It explores multiculturalism, disability, Saudi, mental health and how kidnap can involve a swimming pool. Supported by the charity Sibs, the BBC Comedy Collective and Funny Women.

We’re Off To See The Wizard! @disabled_eliza 🌈💙
I had the most fun bringing this Wizard of Oz inspired photoshoot to life for the incredible Eliza! I’m so happy they trusted me to shoot this and allowed me to get super creative with the set design and build. And working with Pod & Pamela was the best.
This is all part of Eliza’s series where they recreate well known theatre characters as wheelchair users! It’s a privilege to be a small part of it!
I was able to create a poppy meadow using chicken wire, moss and poppies - it took sooo long to build (with lots of help from Michael & Eliza it was much quicker than it would have been) but it was so worth it. I used fabric to create the ‘road’ and we hired the incredible hand painted backdrop from Themes Unlimited.
Fully aware the film was not in black and white once Dorothy was in Oz but it just looked so cool I had to, please forgive me. 🥲
Big thanks to @disabled_eliza for asking me to shoot something so fun and being so lovely to work with. It’s the perfect shoot in anticipation of the new Wicked film too!! ✨

Another Halloween favourite, when I teamed up with super talented makeup artist and pal @ashleighmua to create this epic look and the absolutely brilliant fashion designer @noemie_jouas who handmade the amazing dress for this shoot! Dream team!🦋
After shooting this self portrait I then headed into post production to bring this piece to life and really transform the image and myself into the Tim Burtom aesthetic we all know from the film! That included elements like photographing a toy skeleton and adding the limbs and ribs to my image - digitally painting in the moon, all the swirls you see in the image and really working with the makeup to create the perfect stylised finish.
This may be my favourite self portrait I’ve ever shot!
