Had the best Easter Monday with a wedding for a family friend 🩵 So nice to be so involved from the get go and to get two of my friends on board to do hair as well! Also did nails for the Bride and Mother of the Groom, and a wedding guest 💄💅🏻 It was a very busy weekend but so lovely, getting to be a guest as well as working the morning was so special ✨️💕 Make-up by me @eringracewheatland Hair by @caitlinbyrnemakeup @megankeepencemua @eringrace.makeup @caitlinbyrnemakeup @megankeepencemua @nickisheaphotography @samiann1994 @tewinburyweddings @misscarlysleandco_events @cantinacarnitas @churro_boyz @joyriderband @lamberts_flower_company @birdcagebridalboutiquewgc

In honour of the @olivierawards last night, here is a throwback to a Wicked-inspired shoot I did a couple of years ago. I had a lot of fun turning @disabled_eliza into Elphaba (peep the matching green spokes on their chair!) Hair play day 👑 I had a play with creating a Victorian style and practising my hot sticks set ✨️ I used mainly bigger bendies for this set and smaller ones on the front to create a curly, fluffy fringe. I used two switches for this look, one plaited with hair dressed over it to act as padding and another which Caitlin and I hot sticked and dressed out at the back to create the shape and add length to Ellie's hair. If I were to do this again, I'd make the curls more ringlety and add some accessories, such as flowers or a decotirate hair pin which were popular during the Victorian era. I'd also work on symmetry of the rolls which create the bun. Thank you to @caitlinobeirnemakeup and @elliecannings for your advice and the use of the pieces (and your head!) 🩷🩷🩷
