剛開始放歌的時候，我常把自己定位成一個 bass music DJ。那時候 @dj_ploy 在 @timedance_uk 發的作品絕對是我最愛之一，尤其是他的鼓和 percussion，真的讓人無法忽視。 到 2023 年底，在台北 @eel.ltd Festival 的 afterparty，他放了一場 tech house 的 set，而他的 Rinse FM @rinse.fm 節目也開始越來越偏 house。老實說，一開始我其實有點不太習慣。 但聽得越多，就越能感覺到，那個 bass 一直都還在他的 house 裡。也正因為這樣，我反而覺得他的 house 更特別、更有辨識度。 他之前在 @firstfloor_newsletter 的專訪裡提到，與其被當代的製作綁住，擁抱 house 音樂 30 多年的歷史，還能享受帶來意想不到的驚喜。那段話也真的推了我一把，開始比以前更認真去挖那條很長很長的 house 歷史。 對我來說，不被曲風限制、而是對音樂本身保持貪心與迷戀，這才是一個真正的 DJ，才能在任何舞台放對的音樂。 最重要的是，本週五 1/30，Ploy 會在 @r_rabbithole_h 台北演出， @k.lu93 跟我會為他開場。 期待在這個 Sexy Night 跟大家相遇 🖤 Take a Walk with Makoto invites Ploy 地點: @r_rabbithole_h 日期: Friday, January 30, 2026 時間: 24:00 - 04:30 video credits @rinse.fm @boilerroomtv @musicradartech

凌晨三點到六點，一直是我認為舞池最誠實、也最殘酷的時段。跳累的、想走的、喝醉的、在廁所前猶豫的。 這個時間點的音樂，比起無腦衝刺，更需要有層次的推進；比起快速的撥弄，更需要持續而節制的挑逗。 PLOY 是少數我認為理解這個時段的 DJ。帶點壞勁的 groove 會慢慢關閉回家的念頭，將舞客引導進一種更本能的、甚至可以說是一種愚笨的舞動狀態。 非常值得一聽他在 2025 年夏天、於克羅埃西亞 Dekmantel Selector 第三天深夜的那場演出，聽了或許就能更理解上面文字想描述的感覺。 那天晚上的我在民宿補眠，Kevin 也已經回柏林錄製電台節目，我們都錯過了現場，但也正因如此，一得知 PLOY 有亞洲行程時，我們幾乎是在第一時間邀請他來台北。 1/30 週五，Take a Walk with Makoto Invites PLOY at Rabbithole，歡迎一起散步，走進夜的深處。 also thanks @r_rabbithole_h @toha.radio @ffffoldddd for making this happen. — PLOY, the alias of South London–based producer and DJ Sam Smith, emerged in 2016 with his debut release “Sala One Five” on Hessle Audio. A series of EPs followed on Batu’s Timedance imprint, where he helped shape a distinct contemporary sound rooted in UK bass traditions and pushed toward more exploratory forms. His work has received remix treatments from Beatrice Dillon, Peder Mannerfelt, and Verraco, and he later released his debut album Unlit Signals on New York label L.I.E.S. Alongside this, he founded his own label and club night, Deaf Test. In recent years, PLOY has focused on contemporary house, drawing from progressive, tech-house, and garage, while maintaining a monthly residency on London’s Rinse FM, blending house, techno, and garage into a two-hour broadcast format. 30th Jan at @r_rabbithole_h

Had the pleasure of recording my very first (dub) techno set for @shella.radio in Prague. Huge thanks to @siegmund_fjord and @lulukathryn for the kind invitation. Even though the session came together last minute – with a few small slips along the way – I’m truly happy with how it turned out and glad I could share the sounds I love. Prague left such a deep impression on me, especially the strong sense of community at @ankali_club and Shella Radio. It gave me so much energy and inspiration. Looking forward to coming back soon, and to more exchanges between us in the future. ❤️

Had the honor of curating a TOHA Radio takeover show on @refugeworldwide , where I shared some of my personal gems – sounds deeply influenced by Taiwanese post-rock that shaped my teenage years. 來說說怎麼認識 Kevin 這個人。 記得去年底，不知道為什麼同一個禮拜有 3 個住在柏林的亞裔 DJ 都跑來 TOHA Radio 錄音。就在直播鏡頭關掉的 b2b2b2 大亂鬥，放出第一首歌開始的時候，我大叫 "Oh shit, I love this song !" 。恩，他 b2b 第一首歌竟然放 Slowdive - Souvlaki Space Station，有意思。 B 到後面我們都蠻醉，時間也晚了（記得隔天還要上班），原本想用個 ambient 收尾，但他還是很堅持要接回 The Smashing Pumpkins - 1979 當晚安曲。OK，看來喜歡 1979 可能是全世界 cool kids 的共同特色。 Anyway，這趟亞洲行讓 Kevin 喜歡上台灣，決定搬來住一陣子躲柏林的寒冬。當然不一定是 TOHA 或是音樂的功勞，可能純粹只是那個禮拜看他還要遠端很可憐，很常找他喝酒，然後感覺中文不太好所以我們也肆無忌憚講一些地獄玩笑（但後來發現他其實聽得很爽）。 也多虧很常跟 Kevin hangout 聽到不少 US/Berlin 故事，有印象的是他說 Objekt 跟 Call Super 每年都會在柏林的一個地方 b2b all night long，然後有一次不知道哪隻用 Sonic Youth 的 Teenage Riot 接了一個 140 的 techno 然後又鬼轉回去電子舞曲。喔我好想聽這個版本的這兩位，how I wish I was there! 後來他短暫回柏林的期間，就拋了希望在台灣住的這時間能辦些活動。我當然是雙手歡迎，問活動主題概念有沒想法，他就提了用女神異聞錄 Persona 5 中，主角選擇約會對象時的其中一個選項：Take a Walk with Makoto。雖然我沒玩過遊戲，但，夠宅，好爽，一聽就直覺會中，當下就用這個當主概念視覺。（雖然第一場活動敲在 3/8 婦女節，搞這種直男梗感覺非常不正確...） 所以工商時間，本週六的第一場 Take a Walk with Makoto，除了我跟 Kevin 之外，還會有同是柏林 Refuge Worldwide 電台的 Arnav 一起出演。我們三個都是屬於那種什麼都放的類型，當天 b2b2b 可能搖滾 / 爵士 / 電子 / 流行 應該都聽得到，會是一個 anything goes 的夜晚。 另外也由於一些規劃，在 3 月幾場已經排定的演出後，我會開始減少公開的表演。所以更歡迎大家來兔子洞玩，吃個披薩喝一杯！ ________ March 8th(Sat.) 23:00 - 04:00 @r_rabbithole_h （小紐約敦南店B1/ LNY Pizza Dunnan B1） -Lineup- klu @k.lu93 Arnav @arnav.303 LYM @limiubing -Happy Food- 免費披薩，用完為止 Free pizza, first come, first served. 入場/Entry - $600 （附贈飲料券/1 drink included） *跳舞下樓，聊天上樓* *室外請保持安靜* *友愛環境、敦親睦鄰* *Dance in the basement and talk upstairs.* *Keep the noises inside* *Be thoughtful and considerate*

Orbitinging 10 with LYM @limiubing is out now! “Don’t know why, but on the coldest day of the year, I always feel the urge to release those long-suppressed emotions buried deep inside.” LYM presents the 10th mix for the Orbitinging series with this mood for Major Cold. He recommends listening during long commutes in the cold wave, wearing noise-canceling headphones to experience the interplay between the persistent ambient noise and the music. As a Co-founder of Taipei’s independent music station TOHA Radio @toha.radio , LYM avoids rigidly defining music by genre, believing that good music speaks for itself. He sees music as universal yet inherently tied to cultural identity, with the ultimate goal of discovering the unique rhythms and sounds of Taiwan.
