FLINTA DJ & PRODUCERS: CHAT & LINK UP   Hosted by @soft_domination , the first link up will take place on Tuesday 3rd March, 19:00-22:30 @thepostbartottenham . Entry is free, just head to the 🔗🌳 to secure your space now. These link up sessions will be a space for FLINTA* (Women, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Asexual) DJs and Producers across all levels and the electronic spectrum to come together to discuss and talk about their experiences in the music industry. A space to share, listen or learn - we want this to be a place which gives space to FLINTA artists to decompress, empower and connect. This idea has been swimming around my head for some time and is long overdue. Massively inspired by my experiences attending @ladiesmusicpub , a space which was integral to giving me confidence in pursuing and finding my footing in this tricky terrain. There will be open decks on a first come, first serve basis too for those who’d like to share their music once the chatting is done. A big shout out to @lightgaluk who has been helping me behind the scenes, to secure the venue, provide decks and more. Community is really how you make the dream work. Soft Domination is an ethos, more than a radio show or a party. It’s about bringing more softness, kindness, and humanity into the world with power and mindfully. Met some incredible people in the music industry, caught so many unforgettable sets, played a cheeky set myself and soaked up enough inspiration to last the year. Also swung by the @toolroomrecords showcase — proper vibes with @mollymousemollymouse — and stopped in at @thelullabyefactory to chat all things analog tape saturation with a friend (check out #TapeYourMix if you’re into that nerdy studio magic). The visuals at @unrealgermany x @freeyourmindfestival at @afaslive were next level — honestly some of the best lighting design I’ve ever seen. Finally got to see @shermanology tear it up, and sat in on great talks from @ki.slash.ki and @haaihaaihaai that left me buzzing. Also the @tokyodriftpresents event was the perfect ending to a mad week of music, movement, and connection.
