The Post Bar

We are deeply saddened that The Post Bar in Tottenham will be closing in its current form. What Mic, Camilo, Dorothy and the entire team have built there is extraordinary. This was never just a venue. It was a space rooted in community, creativity and care, bringing people together through music, food and shared experience. The impact of that work will be felt far beyond the walls of the building. Grassroots music venues are defined by the people who run them, and the dedication, resilience and vision shown by this team, especially through the challenges of recent years, is something to be recognised and respected. We share their hope that this is not the end. And that any possible future operators will honour what has been created here and to continue its role as a vital, community-led grassroots venue. To everyone involved, you have done something important. Thank you for everything you’ve given.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that The Post Bar, in its current capacity, will be closing on 12th April. This space has been so much more than just a venue — it’s been a home for music, art, good food, friendship, and community. We are endlessly grateful to every person who filled the bar in one way or another — whether performing, creating, working, or simply coming through the door. A special thank you to our Tottenham locals, who truly made this place what it is. The lights may go out next week, but the spirit of this space will stay with us forever. We’re hopeful this isn’t the end — there are people interested in taking on the space, and we’re keeping everything crossed that they succeed so the doors can reopen again soon. We’re incredibly proud of everything The Post Bar became — from a live music venue and Argentine grill, through Covid, to raising our daughter here, and growing into the community-driven space it is today. A huge thank you to our amazing staff, past and present. Thank you to everyone who supported us — especially those who volunteered recently, and to Oli and @solarpunkldn for the incredible community energy over the last year, and to @musicvenuetrust for their support. There are conversations happening about what comes next, so we hope this isn’t goodbye to it all — just the start of a new chapter. If you have an event booked after 12th April and haven’t heard from us, please send us a DM. We’re hoping to pass this account on to the new owners, so watch this space.
