**Making 2030** is a four-day mini festival to imagine, learn skills, and build our future worlds - from local to global 🧩🎺💡
From 15-18 April, we're taking over the art gallery at @tabernaclew11 , an iconic cultural venue at the heart of Notting Hill.
With local groups, artists and organisers, we'll be hanging out, exchanging ideas, making art, sharing our projects and running a mix of informal and practical activities.
What to expect:
🔎 facilitated discussions on digital skills, community energy, creative economies & more
🍡 tea & treats and living room conversations
🪀 creative hangouts and artmaking
🧵 workshops on imagining urban futures, repairing your clothes or making art with waste
📖 reading corner and collective research wall
🎶 a party with food and music on sat night <33
Full programme to come soon - check out the Eventbrite page in our bio and register if possible :)
❤️ free & drop-in // all ages welcome ❤️
☀️🌠 We wrote our School manifesto!! A manifesto for solar futures...

I walked into Post Bar thinking I was running a crafting workshop. Five minutes in, it felt like I’d accidentally launched a glue-stick uprising.
This wasn’t your polite, wine-and-watercolour situation. No gatekeeping. No skill requirements. Just scrap materials, battered magazines, sticker books, and a table that slowly turned into a timeline of chaos. We mapped the entire history of punk, from volcanic eruptions 4.6 billion years ago (lava as attitude, obviously) to zines and cyberpunk.
Someone crowned the stegosaurus the first punk. The cats wandered through like silent critics, sitting directly on key historical moments as if editing them in real time.
And somewhere between the dinosaurs and DIY print culture, something clicked.
This wasn’t about making “good art.” It was about making anything together. Messy, loud, unpolished. The kind of creative energy that built London’s underground in the first place and still pulses through its art events, workshops, and community spaces today.
Because punk was never just a sound. It’s a method. A refusal. A collective shrug at perfection.
In a small bar in London, covered in glue and paper scraps, it felt very much alive.

I’ll Hold This For You: An exhibition of ongoing research at the boundaries and interstices of art education, culture, and practice.
*Last day is May 21st (not 22nd)*
My research has taken place with @solarpunkldn so I’m bringing the solarpunk to the not-very-solarpunk realm of higher education with a DIY, chilled out, cosy set-up for relaxing and low-pressure zine-making, with materials, prompts, activities, and zines of all kinds to inspire anyone and everyone to get a bit creative amidst the wonderful displays of research practice my peers have put together.
Come along any time, and DM any questions!
