Delighted to share our work "Familiar Places, Forgotten Faces" from the @light.up.ramsgate light festival in January. The work is inspired by and a tribute to the ordinary people who lived and worked in the town in the past, each leaving an indelible mark on the places and spaces we now occupy.
The installation was underpinned with evocative music from the excellent @par_hagstrom and @jakob_ahlbom .

Last day of Light Up Ramsgate seems a perfect end. Rooted in the transition from winter to spring, the Snow Moon represents renewal and rejuvenation. As the last full moon of winter, it signifies a turning point in the seasonal cycle, urging individuals to shed old habits and embrace new beginnings.

It has been a twinkling 6 weeks of light installations thanks to @light.up.ramsgate and the final days are now here 😢 Don’t miss the last day of @carsonparkinfairley ’s ‘Under The Same Stars’ at St George’s Church, and ‘Event Horizon’ by Balint Bolygo & Jude Greenaway at the Sailor’s Church. Both give their final performance this evening. Other installations leave venues over the next few days / weeks.

Under The Same Stars was conceptualised and designed by Ramsgate-based artist Carson Parkin-Fairley. All the stars were drawn in workshops she held at the local Church, Synagogue, Hindi Temple and Open Arms (a refugee youth group at Pie Factory).
It was commissioned by Light Up Ramsgate and funded by Arts Council England.

Inflatable is now up in St George’s for all the enjoy! Open over the weekend from 2-7pm tomorrow and 5-7pm Sunday - please do come see it!
This piece was designed and conceptualized by myself, but all the content was created in workshops I delivered at the local synagogue, Hindu temple, church and a refugee youth group called Open Arms. In that way it feels a place like the church is the perfect setting. It feels so grand!
