So happy to show my work 'Notes' at Human Remains. An amazing show in humbling company. Curated by @davidnettleingham at @salon.margate as part of @offseasonmargate We have all been invited to create some words around our work... here are mine..
This sculpture acts as a vessel, an invitation for notes to be inserted into its folds. These can be cries for help, encouragements, exhortations, moanings about the world.
This found object is a container of poison, a filter of dorian grey.
We filter what we cannot digest.
Embraced and framed by sculpted forms of wire, paper and ink; waste and discard is celebrated and valued above the new and the perfect.
Words which need to be expressed but do not need to be seen are cradled and held.
Notes create a rhythm, from cries come music
