WHAT EXACTLY IS “LET’S GO VEGAN SWARM”?
A new concept by
@vegansfrommars to support local vegan businesses. I’ve been increasingly concerned after recently noticing so many vegan restaurants shut down or add non-vegan items to menus to try to avoid closure. Inspired by flash-mobs, I decided to set something up where we as a community can help our local vegan businesses. I understand many of us cannot afford to dine out as much as we’d like to, but we can “vegan swarm” a select business *once a month*.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
I will work in collaboration with a vegan business to pick a date best for them. We as a community will visit their business that date, during their business hours, make a purchase, and hopefully sell them out for the day. (If you can’t go in person, order online if it’s an option)
WHY? WHAT’S THE GOAL?
The goal is to boost that business’ sales for at least the day, as well as bring more awareness to the business. Also as customers, we can try something new, or support a vegan business we already know and love.
ARE YOU CHARGING BUSINESSES FOR THIS?
No. I have worked within the vegan community for almost a decade. I’m simply doing this because I’m passionate about keeping our vegan communities going, and figured this is the very least I can do. I will not be charging businesses owners for my time and efforts. But this also means I will not being doing paid ads. So hopefully we can all work together to get the word out!
IS IT JUST VEGAN RESTAURANTS?
For now, yes. In the future we can try this concept with vegan online businesses or other vegan businesses.
WHAT CAN I DO?

@letsgoveganswarm on social media accounts! Watch for updates on the next vegan business we’re planning to visit, and mark your calendar. Send the posts to your friends or tag them! Share share share! Repost in your feed or stories. Help us get the word out, then on the designated day join us at the vegan restaurant (or business) we’re visiting and make a purchase (or two, or three). And feel free to share your purchase on social media too! (Tag us! We will repost!)
