Scarborough Stories is a mini documentary video series highlighting six diverse voices from Scarborough, each sharing one cherished memory that has shaped their journey in life. Through sit-down interviews and archival visuals, the series explores identity, community, and belonging.

Alicia Reid is an award-winning Toronto-based documentarian, photographer, and filmmaker specializing in documentary and culturally rooted storytelling. A journalism graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University, her work explores Black identity, music, nightlife, and community through an intimate and observational lens, with a strong focus on Scarborough stories. Alicia has documented major festivals and events including the Caribbean Music Awards, Billboard Canada’s Women in Music, and the Toronto Black Film Festival, and her work has been recognized by organizations such as Scarborough Arts. An alumna of The Remix Project and ArtworksTO, she brings a community-first approach to filmmaking, centering authentic narratives and lived experience in every project.
