What a beautiful blessing it is to not only learn how to create but teach others too. Transitioning from being a mentee to a mentor has been such a full circle moment for me throughout my years of mentorships in creative arts programs and to be able to do it in my own community warms my heart.This year myself and @myuri.s have been able to create spaces for creatives in Scarborough to connect and create with each other through photography and storytelling through our initiative @lensontheends and we can’t wait to share more spaces with you all real soon.Thank you so much to @eli.ot_ who we had the honour in working with for our creative writing workshop and also the graphic designs for our recent flyers. Yeah it’s kind of different when the fire’s where you start from ️‍ Thank you so much to @theremixproject and @oxfordpropgroup for displaying my photo at the Richmond-Adelaide Centre for Black History Month.It’s been an honour to share this photo all over the city throughout the past few months and I can’t wait to showcase it even more this year.Much love to my @wi.deh.ya fam for creating spaces that uplift Caribbean culture where I’m able capture these powerful moments ️‍ : @ry.ones

Thank you to the Nia Centre for having me screen my video series “Scarborough Stories” at Niaflix last week. Big thanks to @selcallum who curated the night to include different local films and bring many talented filmmakers, producers and actors together to speak on their creative process.Even though we showcased in the West end, there was a lottt of Scarborough folks in the building who also connected with the film which truly warmed my heart. Forever grateful to be granted the opportunity to bring my ideas to life and speak on them too. Stay tuned on @lensontheends for our next screening and online launch!
