Handmade film is a rarely practiced craft in today’s film industry. Lindsay McIntyre spends three days making the film emulsion she shoots on than develops herself.

Harshest Case of Winter Blues
What a brutal winter. Sudden endings I didn’t expect, in spaces I loved and in the shape of what I thought my life was becoming.
The world feels so loud with sadness too. I feel like everyone is feeling everything all at once, all of the time. Grateful for the ones who have stayed close, no matter the distance. Those who hold space and don’t disappear when things get hard.
I am still here. Still choosing to take risks, make new connections, step into new work, stay open to life and loving with my whole battered little heart.
Standby, I will be my funny and whimsical self again very soon.

SXSW x Collider
Had a whirlwind weekend filming interviews with the Collider crew. Thanks to Lu for inviting me to join the team. We consumed a ton of Tex Mex and BBQ, met some lovely celebrities and wandered around Austin.
Always enjoy spending time with fellow cinematographers and filmmaking friends throughout festival season. So proud of my fellow Canadians Aisha, Lauren, Mal and Nic premiering their films at SXSW!

Coffee House Hours turned two years old, so I decided to throw a big party to celebrate and over a hundred of you showed up!
Huge thanks to Sorry Studio for hosting, Metanoia Cafe for providing coffee and pastries, Amanda Pye for offering live poetry writings and our two DJs Nic Altobelli and Abe Wynen for spinning great tunes all afternoon. Deeply appreciate those that volunteered their time and the major support from Nicole De Khors and Luke Sobota.
I am so proud of being able to create a space for our local film industry not only grow but thrive into a group of genuine and kind creatives uplifting each other. Thank you to every cafe and studio that hosted us throughout the past couple years and to everyone that show up to build this community together.
See you at the next session!
Big Love @stina
